"We absolutely loved having Black Velvet Band play our wedding ceilidh at Clearwell Castle. My husband is from Scotland so we wanted a traditional Scottish ceilidh feel with some of the classics, and we were not disappointed! We had a good feeling about Black Velvet band from the moment we booked them - and sure enough, Mike and the guys were absolutely fantastic and made our evening party a huge success. The band were great and the instructions on the ceilidh dances were so helpful; even those of our party who may not have normally danced were up there loving life on the dancefloor. The fun and friendly atmosphere they created was just fab and so different from your ‘usual’ evening do. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceilidh and some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would 100% book the band again and recommend them to friends. "Mark was absolutly outstanding, his singing style and overall understanding of the room made the reception party go with a full swing. He sang a complet mix of music from different era's and genres which kept everyone involved and the dance floor continually busy. He interacted with the guests and was very accommodating to the time restrainsts we had as an outside venue and also any guests requests. I would highly recommend Mark for any live entertainment function."

"These guys are absolutely fantastic! They had the dance floor filled and all of our guests loved them. The whole booking and pre event process was professional, smooth, well run but with a lovely personal feel. I honestly couldn’t be happier or more grateful to them and would use them again in a heartbeat."

"We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"My new husband and I hired Absolute Band a fortnight ago and they were simply amazing - we chose the 5-piece band because we wanted the fiddle for our Irish theme and it was the best decision! The dancefloor wasn't empty once and compliments from our guests came thick and fast about the band! They learnt our first dance really quickly and the whole night was a musical success. Honestly, hiring them was one of the finest choices we made Thank you to all the band members for making our wedding so memorable. "Funk With Us are absolutely phenomenal. Obviously I am biased but they are honestly the best wedding band I’ve ever seen perform. All of our guests have since commented that our band were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend more highly! Lilac and Remko are so easy to talk to and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Such a talented bunch!"
