"We had the absolute pleasure of having Craic With Us perform at our wedding, and they completely exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, they brought incredible energy, professionalism, and talent to our special day. Their traditional Irish music was breathtaking and set the perfect tone during the early part of the evening. It was authentic, vibrant, and played with real heart. When it came time for the ceilidh, they had everyone—young and old—up on their feet. Lilac explained the dances so clearly and with such fun energy that even guests who had never done a ceilidh before were dancing with huge smiles on their faces. It was one of the absolute highlights of the day! Later, they transitioned seamlessly into their DJ set, keeping the dance floor packed until the very end. They read the room perfectly and played a brilliant mix of songs that appealed to all ages. So many of our guests have told us how much they loved the music and the atmosphere it created. Sound with Us brought something truly special to our wedding, and we can’t thank them enough. If you're looking for a band that can do it all—live Irish music, ceilidh calling, and DJing—look no further. They are phenomenal!"

"I just wanted to say such a huge thank you for the amazing performance that you gave. You were so friendly and willing to help in any way that any nervousness about getting up to dance was immediately dismissed. I was extremely apprehensive prior to the night about how the dancing would go down, especially with my two left feet! However my worrying was in vain, what a fantastic night of dancing it was, so inclusive that any and all can get up and get involved, aged 5 or 105. You need no experience or talent, just listen to the brilliant calling, it’s all simple moves but when it comes together with all your friends and family on the night, prepare to be amazed. I can not thank the band enough for making our Wedding such a fantastic night, I have never seen so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves all at once. I can sincerely recommend the Black Velvet Band for any social occasion, your expectations will be exceeded."

"Mark was absolutly outstanding, his singing style and overall understanding of the room made the reception party go with a full swing. He sang a complet mix of music from different era's and genres which kept everyone involved and the dance floor continually busy. He interacted with the guests and was very accommodating to the time restrainsts we had as an outside venue and also any guests requests. I would highly recommend Mark for any live entertainment function."

"Thank you so much for the fabulous ceilidh on Saturday night, we had a truly memorable celebration. All our guests commented on what a fun night it was with everyone up dancing by the end! Barry was brilliant and pitched his instructions at the right level for us amateurs - the perfect mix of assertive and entertaining! ? The music provided by The Ceilihouse was superb - you are a very talented bunch and I won’t hesitate to recommend your services. It should also be noted that Chris was excellent from our first contact. He alleviated my worries, tried hard to accommodate my late requests and quickly replied to all my messages! "Sorry for the delay in writing, but i would like to say a massive THANK YOU for recommending 'Party Sounds' and arranging for them to play at our Silver Wedding Celebrations. They were everything I had hoped they would be, and more. I was impressed that Mark took the time and trouble to keep in touch with me by telephone rather than by email (which can get a bit messy) and to discuss our likes and dislikes about the music for the evening. They arrived on time at the golf club and we just left the rest to them. It was lovely to be able to put trust in their professionalism and knowledge of their clients preferences to play all evening. We had kept it a closely guarded secret from our guests that we were having a band, and they were really impressed and pleased with what they saw and heard. My one regret is that I was mixing and talking with our guests so much that I didn't really get to fully appreciate the band as I would if I were a guest at someone else's party! I am trying to talk my friends into doing the same, so that I can listen to them again. However, whenever I did draw breath, the sound was exactly like they were playing a CD version of the song - I had to keep checking that it was actually Mark and his colleagues who were really singing - and, oh boy , it most definitely was!! So thank you once again, and please feel free to use my words as recommendation to others. 'Party Sounds' would definitely be my first choice of music for any events in the future. I don't even think I would consider hiring a DJ ever again :)"

"I would just like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Sat night at my Daughter’s naming ceremony. We all had a great time, and everybody commented on how great the band was. I never laughed or enjoyed a dance so much and would like to have another party, just to have you play again. They got the crowd going and kept them under ‘control’ with a brilliant blend of instructions and banter even as we inevitably got a little rowdier towards the end. "The Ceilihouse recently played at our wedding reception and it was amazing. All our guests commented on what an atmosphere they created and how superb they were. The day it’s self was amazing and I could not recommend them highly enough! Everyone commented that they were the best band they had heard, the dancefloor was filled with every age group all night! "The Black Velvet Band Trio were extremely talented musicians who delivered a good range of Irish tunes to a very high standard. Overall they provided a great night’s entertainment, and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to hold an Irish themed night. Unfortunately we were not allowed dancing due to Covid restrictions, once these are lifted the night would be even better."
