"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? I hope that we will meet again someday, but until then, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With much appreciation and best wishes, Carrie-Ann and David"

"The Extonions played at our wedding in Somerset at the end of October and we cannot recommend them highly enough! They got everyone up on their feet and all our guests enjoyed dancing, clapping and tapping along! A very talented group of musicians and a must see! Thank you all so much."

"Speechless - and that's not like me. The band were fantastic - they are the best of the best, on a par with The Dubliners. Absolutely made our evening, this will be the first band we look to for all our future events without a doubt. The Caller was great fun, all of them were a compliment to each other. "Ruby was an Absolute star! She was so professional and the way she can read the crowd to know what songs to go with next she’s amaze balls! I can honestly say with my hand on my heart she made our day! She has an amazing energy that you feel through her voice! You need to charge way more for her amazing talent! The booking process was really easy and straight forward and I will definitely be recommending yourself and Ruby to friends and family! "Where to begin....we absolutely, ABSOLUTELY loved having you guys. Even though the guests took a life time to warm up and dance, they had nothing but love for you guys. Honestly, think the heat was putting people off dancing. We really enjoyed what we heard of your set and our Dads especially loved you guys. The plan now is to attend a performance of yours in the near future with the dads :) Thanks for everything, absolutely love the photo you put on insta."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 16/07/2021 / Cecilia and Johny’s Wedding Mike and the Black Velvet Band played at our wedding and put together a fantastic set. They had very thoughtfully come up with some more Covid secure dances to cater for people wishing to stay in their respective bubbles but managed to maintain the energy and enthusiasm throughout. The music was brilliant and the calling was the best that I’ve seen at a ceilidh (a difficult skill to perfect!). We did 6 or 7 dances and the band very considerately asked how we (my wife and I) would like to lead the dances to ensure plenty of people engaged but we had no concerns as everyone joined in. All of our guests were delighted and we can’t thank the band for stepping in at relatively short notice, we had a brilliant time."

"We had GDTB Duo play for us at our celebration, having seen them play at another venue. Everyone certainly had a good time. The music was interesting, some songs recognisable and some older traditional songs, with lovely singing and playing. And they were very friendly people to talk to afterwards as well. Definitely recommended."

"Well what can I say! I have recently got married and Absolute played for us at our special day! They were amazing! They were so accommodating…. with a LOT of requests given to them beforehand !! They did not disappoint! They sang a range of all songs… there was something for everyone!! !! Everyone is still talking about how good this band were now!!! The dance floor was packed out all night long! They were great fun and we had the best time! We couldn’t recommend them enough and we thank them for the best day of our lives!!!! "Ruby is charismatic, with a charming patter, along with a vivacious singing style. She is a versatile singer with a wide repertoire, which allows her to gauge the audience and perform material that gets a good response. Guests were spontaneously singing and clapping along during our event. She is also very professional, arriving promptly and with quick set up of PA system. She is well presented, dressing for the occasion both at our event and at heritage events where she has also impressed. Highly recommended for Masonic Ladies Festivals, heritage attractions or anywhere that wants to put a smile on the audience’s faces and leave humming familiar tunes on the way home."
