"Barn With Us played at our school charity dinner last weekend and I am going to let the pupils do the talking: Vibrant; great company; made it a lot of fun; great singing and music; the callers explained everything really well and made sure everyone understood what they should do (the dance was demonstrated to me at this time!); lively; really good atmosphere; they were funny; great energy - you get the picture! Big thank you to Lilac, Remko and everyone else involved."

"I first saw Shamrock Experience at a local beer festival and loved the energy and the music. Have since been to see them play local pubs when I can, never a disappointment and always gets everyone up and dancing. Highly recommend."

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were fantastic! From first point of contact by email, we found them to be helpful, flexible and professional. And then on the night they were all these things again and brilliant musicians with an excellent caller in Kip. He was so patient and fun. What we particularly appreciated was that Kip encouraged people to join in but didn't harangue or hassle anyone. He showed people what to do and ribbed some of the larger than life characters, which all added to the friendly warmth of the occasion. For anyone who isn't sure about having a ceilidh at a wedding, we would recommend this band as a brilliant introduction. My husband wasn't sure because he didn't want to feel forced to dance as he only usually does this when he's had several pints of beer. But we found Blue Jewel to be really encouraging, without being pushy and everyone joined in. It's really inclusive and a way of getting all ages up and dancing together. We were so pleased because our teenagers loved it too and no-one worried about being 'cool'. It's a very natural and traditional way of letting your hair down, mixing with everyone and having a good laugh. We would highly recommend this band."

"We hired the Edinburgh Ceilidh Trio for our wedding and they were fantastic, we had 3 hours of playing and I don't think the dance floor was empty once. They were great at explaining the dances to the guests, allowing them to quickly learn the dances and have a go. Many of the guests - most of which had never done a ceilidh before - all reported how much fun they had. "

"Kip and the band were fantastic. We had a big Irish wedding with my family who had all come over for the occasion and the band did not disappoint. I requested an extra instrument and we just wanted session music and they delivered in style. I would highly recommend for a fantastic authentic Irish band to keep people up on the dance floor. "Thank you so much for playing at our wedding - you were fantastic and we had a wonderful time dancing with our guests! The evening was perfect, everything we had wished for. Everyone said how much they enjoyed it and you could really tell from all the laughing and smiling that the guests were having a great time. Some people had never been to a ceilidh before and I think they are now hooked! The music was wonderful and we really appreciated you playing some French folk dances for the French side of the family. From the moment we got in touch with you we knew you were the right band choice, as you were so friendly and professional. You went out of your way to make sure the evening went as planned. Thank you especially for letting us steal you away from your set-up to play us a few maypole tunes and for staying and helping us with the after ceilidh disco. Wishing you lots of good luck in the future and if we ever plan another ceilidh we know who to call!"

"Hi Davie, Hope you and the guys got home safely last night. Davie, what can I say, you guys are the most amazing team, the whole night was absolutely fantastic, couldn't have asked for anything better. Only problem was I ran out of shoogleness and had to get a breather and realised I was missing more while I was outside, what a bummer! Please be assured that I will be giving out loads of Shoogly recommendations, and I hope very much to hire your services again at some time in the future! All the very best to you all for the future.
