"For our wedding on 22nd April 2018 we had the absolute pleasure of having Blackbeard's Tea Party as our ceilidh band. They are an amazing band and had everyone up dancing throughout the ceilidh. If your planning on a ceilidh for your wedding then look no further they were professional throughout and we couldn't have asked for anything more!"

"My fiance and I are farmers and we really wanted the "Combine Harvester" song as our first dance. I know it sounds strange but John suggested he could make an alternative version that would be suitable. I was a little skeptical but excited to see if it was possible. True to his word he produced a stunningly, romantic and almost unrecognisable cover of the track with the lyrics remaining in tact perfect for our special day. I'll be forever grateful for him fulfilling our request and making my day so unique. Thank you John!!!!!"

"Big Skies played at our annual golf trip to Ullesthorpe. Everyone present were very impressed with their performance. They began with more laid back , country songs whilst the guests were finishing off food etc. Fantastic musicianship, talented guitar playing and exceptional harmonies. I had chosen one or two songs which were a little less known by most people present , namely “Battle of Evermore”, and Dylan’s “Oh Sister”, and their renditions were captivating. Later in the evening the tempo was raised and it was great to see so many on the dance floor. Overall, a fantastic evening had by all thanks to Big Skies! I would strongly recommend them if you were thinking of hiring an acoustic band for a special event. "

"This is the 3rd year we have had the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band play for our event. They really add to the event in terms of the atmosphere, structure and fun they bring. We were sold out of tickets in the lead up to the event as people eagerly anticipated our annual ceilidh. The band are professional and talented. They brought some great dances which we had not seen before and some old favourites. We are already talking about next year's event with them!"

"I've wanted to try live music in our little Country pub for the longest time and Lucy and Jack were so great I'll definitely be having them back again and again. Engaging, entertaining, and had people up dancing all night. Can't recommend enough!"

"Exactly what we wanted for our wedding! Excellent musicians throughout and great, clear direction/calling to help those of us that were complete beginners and those that were from Germany with limited English! Genuinely impressed with the pace they managed to keep until the very end... Both the band as well as the guests! Very professional and provided great communication from the moment we booked. "Thank you so much to Ceilidh With Us for all the band did for our wedding, we absolutely loved the ceilidh - it was so much fun and we are 100% satisfied! 😃 The caller was fantastic and explained everything very clearly. The music was really fun and it was helpful when songs got gradually faster; the speed was perfect. The band also managed the number of people well, as there were a lot of people for the space. The communication with the band has been absolutely fantastic as well in terms of meetings, arranging things behind the scenes, and coordinating with the venue. We ended up leaving a bit early simply because we were absolutely exhausted by that point, and the band were wonderful and accommodating in terms of changing the order of songs, so thank you for that - it was a shame we couldn’t stay right until the end!"

"We recently had Tim Barton play at our wedding and could not recommend him highly enough. He is friendly, professional, an amazing performer and nothing was too much trouble. All of our guests have complimented us on our choice of artist and we believe he was an integral part of creating a great atmosphere and vibe. During the welcome drinks he had the chilled and relaxed vibe we wanted and later on he had the whole place singing along with him. Tim even played an extra hour; when I offered him some more money he just said he was having a great time and was happy to do it."

"Such a fun dancing evening! The ceilidh was a definite highlight of our wedding. Everyone joined in and had at amazing time. It was lovely to see all our guests dancing and laughing together. The band went out of their way to ensure our wedding celebrations went smoothly - they helped us with the cake cutting, our first dance and had a lovely surprise for us at the end! Highly recommend."
