"Ruby was an Absolute star! She was so professional and the way she can read the crowd to know what songs to go with next she’s amaze balls! I can honestly say with my hand on my heart she made our day! She has an amazing energy that you feel through her voice! You need to charge way more for her amazing talent! The booking process was really easy and straight forward and I will definitely be recommending yourself and Ruby to friends and family! "I recently booked a duo from the band to play at my mum’s wedding in Bolton. They were brilliant. I would recommend this group to anyone who wishes to make their wedding a special event and really liven up the evening. Don’t bother with a DJ, what a waste of money. There were only 40 people at the evening reception, but Shamus and Danny really livened up the group and got them up singing and dancing. I only wish I had another event up and coming, so I could book them again."

"What a joy Mark was at our village fete, the evening was cold but Mark kept us there with his crowd pleasing tunes as we danced around the fire pits under the stars to Maggie May, Honky Tonk Woman and Mustang Sally to name but three of the best 😊 We would definitely recommend Mark for your event "

"Many thanks to the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a fantastic 21st Birthday Ceilidh. The band provided a perfect balance for the young and young-at-heart, catering for everyone from the super-lively, to wheelchair-friendly dances, which was a lovely touch. Everyone had a great time."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 16/07/2021 / Cecilia and Johny’s Wedding Mike and the Black Velvet Band played at our wedding and put together a fantastic set. They had very thoughtfully come up with some more Covid secure dances to cater for people wishing to stay in their respective bubbles but managed to maintain the energy and enthusiasm throughout. The music was brilliant and the calling was the best that I’ve seen at a ceilidh (a difficult skill to perfect!). We did 6 or 7 dances and the band very considerately asked how we (my wife and I) would like to lead the dances to ensure plenty of people engaged but we had no concerns as everyone joined in. All of our guests were delighted and we can’t thank the band for stepping in at relatively short notice, we had a brilliant time."

"The absolute best group you could ever have at your wedding. Lilac and Remko are musical masterminds and they helped our wedding be the biggest party in town. You have to book them! Lilac and Remko rock! Absolutely one of the highlights of our day was seeing a kick-ass 8 piece get the whole room dancing to our Motown-inspired playlist. They helped with curation to ensure we picked the right floor-fillers and chucked in a couple of modern classics and a vocal cameo from one of our guests in, too. We really can't recommend them enough. Everything was smooth and our day was honestly even better because of them."
