"My family have been following this band for over 20 years now. From the toe tapping faster tunes to the haunting ballads, I cannot rate this band highly enough. Everyone in the audience appears to be having a fantastic night with many people dancing. The band are very professional and friendly and seem to attract an audience that follows them all over the country year after year. Recently, they very kindly played for my mother in her own home ,when she was terminally ill. It proved a very memorable and moving day for her friends and family. I will always be grateful to them for this. My rating for this band is 100 out of 10!!!"

"Amazing live set, played all our favourite songs! Such a lovely voice and a lovely chap on top of that. Ended our special day with his DJ set and had to whole room on their feet til the very end!"

"Hello Absolute! We just wanted to say thanks to the band for performing at our wedding recently. We had seen you before so knew that you were a great band and our guests seemed very impressed. The rendition of our first dance song (You are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne) was perfect, so thank you very much for that! We hope the evening went smoothly for you, and thanks for allowing my friend to take the mic to sing some swing numbers (though it's hard to stop him). Thanks once again. "We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"We hired Craic With Us for our wedding in August 2019. I cannot recommend this band enough, they are absolutely incredible. Their energy is amazing and had the dance floor full for the entire day and night. We've had so much positive feedback about the band from our wedding guests...which is 100% deserved. ABSOLUTLEY FANTASIC X"

"My new husband and I hired Absolute Band a fortnight ago and they were simply amazing - we chose the 5-piece band because we wanted the fiddle for our Irish theme and it was the best decision! The dancefloor wasn't empty once and compliments from our guests came thick and fast about the band! They learnt our first dance really quickly and the whole night was a musical success. Honestly, hiring them was one of the finest choices we made Thank you to all the band members for making our wedding so memorable. "Hope you are prepared for my fun villagers attending my party on the 6th May. Everyone is so looking forward to it! I am enjoying my 70 birthday holiday in Barbados at the moment but will be home on Monday. It's like the lull before the storm! Head first into party planning next week. I will ring you Tuesday with final arrangements. Where will you stay or will you drive home on the night? We will discuss my favourites out of your repatoire, which is massive. I need to know what electrics you need and starting times etc. I have about 65 coming!! We have a Hog roast and puddings and marshmallows on the fire pit! It's all so exciting! Weather is looking dry at the moment, so hope it stays that way. Really looking forward to meeting you, love Janet Duddle."

"Delightful Sottish jigs and reels from Sue and Mike combined excellent calling from Henry had everyone on the dance floor, reeling into the small hours. We shall be booking the band again next year. "
