"The Ceilihouse recently played at our wedding reception and it was amazing. All our guests commented on what an atmosphere they created and how superb they were. Thank you guys for making our special day even more special. Would recommend to anyone to book these guys for their event as they are amazing. Chris was quick to respond to any queries we had and really made us feel at ease with the whole process of booking. Three amazing guys and we can’t thank Chris, Paddy or Gordon enough."

"My new husband and I hired Absolute Band a fortnight ago and they were simply amazing - we chose the 5-piece band because we wanted the fiddle for our Irish theme and it was the best decision! The dancefloor wasn't empty once and compliments from our guests came thick and fast about the band! They learnt our first dance really quickly and the whole night was a musical success. Honestly, hiring them was one of the finest choices we made Thank you to all the band members for making our wedding so memorable. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Christian and Fiona’s 40th Wedding Anniversary Party – May 2026 Wonderful, great musicians, great caller, managed to get dancing going for a mixed age group which included from quite senior to a few young children. The band were very helpful and flexible and helped towards a memorable evening for everyone. Great music, plenty of dancing, great party!"

"We booked the BVB for our wedding in April at Stonehouse Court. We specified Celtic music and they were excellent – they even learned a song for me to sing with them in two weeks flat! True musicians who really know their stuff. They were punctual and did not skimp on time – not taking lengthy breaks between songs which I know some do. A really great experience – I thoroughly recommend them."

"Please can you pass my compliments on to the band for the wonderful job they did on Saturday last. Our guests have been absolutely raving about them! They were so good in fact I think they tired most of us out after 3 dances!! We both really appreciate how organised, friendly and accommodating the band were and would not hesitate at all about recommending them to our family and friends. They really made our day so special, our first dance is one I’ll always remember and the smiles on people’s faces as they had fun dancing “The Siege of Ennis”! Thank you once again."

"We booked "It Takes 2" back in January 2022 for Cleeve Prior village Queens Platinum Jubilee 50's evening. From beginning to end, Kelly and Graham were absolutely fantastic. I bombarded them with emails about set lists, how much power they would require etc etc and each and every time Kelly responded immediately with the answers. Being an organiser of the event and never using the band before, it was quite a responsibility in choosing our entertainment, I needn't have worried. They arrived early, were so professional and had everybody on the dancefloor from beginning to end. The 50's theme / set list, which I was worried wouldn't go down well, was absolutely fantastic. I have been congratulated on booking such a good band but it was all Kelly and Graham's doing, we look forward seeing them at future events and many people in the village are planning on using them, I honestly cannot thank them enough....!"
