"We booked Party Sounds for our wedding reception and they were absolutely fantastic! The boys played a brilliant mix of music which had people of all ages up and dancing which made for a great party. The band learnt a new song for our first dance which meant a lot to us and they put their own great spin on it. Fantastic time had by all and just a really lovely bunch of guys! "Recently had It Takes 2 for my wife's 40th birthday party. They were amazing, guitar and singing first class. Lots of people dancing, and everyone commented on how good they were. Would definitely recommend and would love to see them again. Thanks both."

"It was a pleasure to welcome singer Ruby to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. She treated staff, patients and their families to a musical treat in the main hospital atrium singing a range of classics from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. Ruby performed for an hour and attracted people from all over the hospital to come and watch. She has great charisma and her interaction with those who watched was lovely and it was good to see the smiles on people's faces who passed by. If you want a fabulous voice and an amazing presence then Ruby is your lady!"

"For our Irish/Scottish heritage event that we run in Oslo, we had GDTB Duo come & perform for our group. Everyone loved their selection of songs, some that we recognised + others that we didn't know. The event ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. We'll have them back again next year. Highly recommended!"

"Wow! What an evening we had! We absolutely LOVED our wedding evening and you absolutely made the night! We LOVED the dances, and so did all our guests. I couldn’t get over how good you all were! Thank you SO much for being such an excellent band, to plan with before our wedding and to perform on the night. We’ve attached some photos, which we hope you like too! " Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio performed at our Wedding reception. The music was fantastic and Alan the caller talked our guests through the dances with patience and wit. Our guests included some serious Scottish dancing enthusiasts together with a lot of enthusiastic amateurs, complete beginners and no hopers - all of whom had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend the band and a couple of our guests made enquiries about booking them for upcoming events, which speaks for itself. Thank you for providing us with fantastic memories filled with joy and laughter. "

"If you’re looking for a band who can come onstage to a marquee full of people quietly chatting and drinking and within minutes turn them into full-scale dance Machine with everybody in the place laughing and enjoying themselves, Then I think The Blaggers might be the act for you. Guests at our event (held to raise funds to prevent the destruction of a greenbelt zone) ranged from 20s to 60s, But all were captivated by the humour professionalism and generally good time emanating from rom the band. I am a professional filmmaker and have shot an l lot of promo videos for bands, from Euorope (yep, “the final countdown”) to Paul Young to AC/DC, and The Blaggers have that same charismatic quality that you see in all these massively successful bands. For a 3 piece they also a pack a monster sound, and over the course of three sets in one evening they played not only the Gay Gordons and other traditional stuff but also sex and drugs and rock’n’ roll and people are strange by the doors – not something you hear from average ceilidh band. I would highly recommend them if you’re having any kind of function we want to get the whole crowd involved. Oh and did I mention they’re very nice guys as well?"
