""We booked Swing Gitan for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with their performance. We found them online, then went to see them perform in Nottingham - we can honestly say their website does not do them justice; they are incredible musicians. We knew they would be perfect for our big day. Elliott was really friendly and easy to deal with, and we felt he understood exactly the tone we wanted to set - summer sun/cocktails/chilled vibe for our drinks reception and something more upbeat for later in the evening. They certainly didn't disappoint on the actual day, and many of our wedding guests told us how much they loved the band. We would be happy to recommend them to anyone. Claire&Dom" "

"ust wanted to say thank you so much for the music, fun and sheer merriment you provided on Saturday. It was an absolutely cracking party, everyone had a blast and my parents loved every minute! Your music was perfect, you had everyone up singing and got everyone in the party spirit. Everyone has been passing on their thanks and regards, so just wanted to say thank you for making the party such a special and memorable occasion. "We booked Fann Street Hot Club for our wedding in February, and they were just perfect! All our guests were dancing, and everyone loved it. They also played a few slower, romantic ones for Katie and I to have our first dance to. From start to finish, the band were great. Definitely recommend."

" The band was MAGNIFICENT! Such talented musicians and a unique and fabulous part of our wedding day. We loved the musical choices and were surprised yet delighted that our guests took it upon themselves to take to the dance floor! Quite unexpected but a testament to the magical qualities of music. Witnessing multiple generations responding to the music became one of the most special memories of the day! The atmosphere this band created was electric, and seeing as many of our guests were musicians or involved in the creative industry we can wholeheartedly recommend this band for an event! "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Katherine’s 50th Birthday Ceilidh – April 2025 I booked Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio for my wife’s 50th Birthday barn dance. The booking process and communication was great. On the night, from the off, everyone was up dancing. The instructions were great and they really got us all into the spirit. Lots of comments from our friends about how good they were. Thanks to all for an amazing night of music and dance. Would definitely recommend."

"“You were really great and everyone loved your music! For late night lindy we wanted a band to play a variety of tempos ranging between 130 and 180 bpm with the majority of the set staying around the 130-160 mark. We also wanted the odd one or two songs to be played at the higher end of the tempo spectrum, somewhere between 180 and 230 bpm. Ideally we didn’t want each performance to exceed the 4 minute duration because most of our crew are still building up their stamina. Swing Gitan met all our requirements and made an enormous contribution to a fantastic night. We can’t wait to get them back again.” "
