"Steve, Geoff and Absolute Band were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Really friendly people, superb musicians and ensured our dancefloor was busy all night. "We’ve loved seeing Kelly and Graham perform at a variety of venues over the last few years so we were delighted when they agreed to sing at our wedding last weekend. They provided four incredible sets across our wedding afternoon / evening: one acoustic and three electric. All were absolutely wonderful! They were happy to work with us beforehand to personalise their setlists and include requests - for which they gave guests shoutouts on the day! The duo are so bubbly and energetic: they got everyone up dancing. Kelly has a stunningly beautiful voice and is able to breeze through a wide range of genres. Graham is a phenomenal guitarist and also a wonderful singer. They brought a huge amount of joy and fun to us and our guests. We were particularly grateful to them for learning our first dance especially for us and performing an absolutely beautiful rendition. Highly recommend this wonderful duo!! 🎤🎸🎶"

"Many thanks to the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a fantastic 21st Birthday Ceilidh. The band provided a perfect balance for the young and young-at-heart, catering for everyone from the super-lively, to wheelchair-friendly dances, which was a lovely touch. Everyone had a great time."

"What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

"Thank you so much for being able to accommodate us on the wedding of my son! What with atrocious weather causing extensive flooding that weekend and having to postpone the wedding from the Saturday night until the Sunday, we were more than grateful that the band was still willing and able to perform on the Sunday. Great music and excellent calling made the evening, with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves - sometimes with a little over enthusiasm! I highly recommend this band to any future clients booking. The band were more than helpful - especially Jennie with all my questions and the band on the day were superb. "
