"We had such a great time with the band at our wedding last weekend! All our guests had a great laugh and really loved the dancing. We may not have a career in dancing but it definitely was fun! We also really appreciate the band calling out a dance for our first dance. It was so much nicer than swaying on a dance floor to a slow song in front of everyone. "

"Speechless - and that's not like me. The band were fantastic - they are the best of the best, on a par with The Dubliners. Absolutely made our evening, this will be the first band we look to for all our future events without a doubt. The Caller was great fun, all of them were a compliment to each other. "Totally Blown Away……. We had arranged a small celebration in a local village hall for our friends and family and the venue itself was tiny. We looked around to try and find a band to entertain our guests, the majority of which were at the older end of the spectrum. We spent weeks and weeks searching without success and almost changed our plans but eventually came across Kelly & Graham. Having looked at their videos we were amazed how versatile they were but given the fact they were based over 200 miles away we were resigned to the fact they probably wouldn’t travel so far for a one off event. We needn’t have worried, Kelly put us at ease straight away and accepted the booking. She is a great communicator and kept us totally up to speed throughout the process. We were pretty stressed out with co-ordinating the whole event but she promised that we did not have to worry about the music and she was right. They arrived early and set up their equipment and mingled with our guests. We had selected the music to perform from their vast songbook and also added a couple of songs that meant a lot to us. They were brilliant. The night went with a bang. Everyone who came that evening has spoken to us to say how good they were. Kelly’s voice is amazing and Grahams guitar playing is fantastic. If you need a band to entertain your guests no matter how big or small the party, then you need to book these two, you will not be disappointed "

"Hi Dermot Just to thank you for your and the band's entertainment gig at our daughters's recent wedding. It was obvious that each band member was a professional both in proficency of instrument and presentation of the music. I was also impressed with the mix of old classical Irish (re O'Carolan) and the more recent lively musical pieces. Indeed, the songs also exhibited this diversity with noted classics and singalong standards. It was assuring when the band arrived with ample time for set-up and ready to play on cue. Thanks again. "Thank you, guys, for finding time beforehand to rehearse with Amy, the bridegroom’s sister, who sang Elton John’s “Your Song” for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. It was beautiful and very special to have her sing their first song with accompaniment from the band. I think everyone was very moved by it (we are hoping someone filmed it but are not sure!). The dance floor was packed all evening for the ceilidh and we all had great fun - which was the intention. It was an amazing day, evening and whole weekend - we carried on the celebrations on Sunday! Thank you to Black Velvet Band for helping to make the wedding so memorable. "

"The band were absolutely fantastic and were great for a party at the pub! They drove all the way from London to North Yorkshire to play for our wedding welcome party. They played so well and got all our guests dancing all night! The choice of songs were great and all band members were really nice and professional! A big thank you to all 3 of them!"

"Thank you so much for being able to accommodate us on the wedding of my son! What with atrocious weather causing extensive flooding that weekend and having to postpone the wedding from the Saturday night until the Sunday, we were more than grateful that the band was still willing and able to perform on the Sunday. Great music and excellent calling made the evening, with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves - sometimes with a little over enthusiasm! I highly recommend this band to any future clients booking. The band were more than helpful - especially Jennie with all my questions and the band on the day were superb. "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet. Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."
