"Black Velvet Band Irish Band were excellent and really added to our Irish themed evening. Lots of very traditional music. The guys were very flexible and last minute added in a Ceili set without prior knowledge which was appreciated by all and added to the fun of the evening. Very highly recommended."

"Black Velvet Band Irish Trio - Cheltenham Gold Cup - March 2025 Absolutely brilliant band - everybody loved them! We booked the band to play at The Three Lions, Stourport-on-Severn on Gold Cup Day 2025 and didn't regret the decision. They came in set up and started playing straight away and immediately the dance floor was full. We were turning people away at the door as the pub was full to the brim! They played to the crowd and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well. "

"Everyone said how good the band was and we certainly enjoyed the music too. We opted for a 'package' deal which included a drummer who also DJ'd for us. All in all great music, great service which added to our wonderful night, couldn't have asked for better. They had everyone dancing, embraced some quirkyness and fun and I know our friends have tried to book the band for their wedding, unfortunately the band already had other commitments but i've passed on the bands details to many of our guests."

"Can't speak highly enough about Adam and Dhugal, a fantastic pair of lads who really made our engagement party/barbecue something to remember. They crammed their instruments into our little marquee we had set up due to the heavens opening, and whilst not ideal, it was not a issue for them. The music was great, the song selection was excellent (even with our slightly fussy tastes of nothing "too old"). We requested a song prior to the day that they had not heard, let alone knew how to play, and it was not a problem at all! They even played a few extra songs at the end because the guests really didn't want it to finish and there was definitely a few sore legs and feet the next day as well as a few sore heads. At a highly competitive price for such an experience, we wouldn't hesitate to book them again. "

"I would just like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Sat night at my Daughter’s naming ceremony. We all had a great time, and everybody commented on how great the band was. I never laughed or enjoyed a dance so much and would like to have another party, just to have you play again. "You will not regret booking It Takes 2 for your wedding party or other celebration. Kelly's communication was excellent from the start. The pair are highly professional and skilled musicians. Our guests were dancing from start to finish. We can't thank them enough for providing great entertainment for our wedding celebration!"

"The band were a great edition to our wedding party event. They arrived on time and had no issues setting up independently with minimal direction from us as hosts. They gave good directions in terms of getting us started with a first dance, and set the tone for the two sets they played perfectly – giving great instructions to the mostly complete novice crowd present, with a good dose of humour alongside. Everyone there from small children through to retirees was able to participate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for a future event, or to recommend them to others."

"Hi Helen You have recently played at our wedding. I just wanted to send a quick message to thank you for your amazing performance. Both my partner and I haven’t quite been able to get over how brilliant you guys were. We have had floods of messages from guests, the venue and our external suppliers (DJ, photographers and photo booth) saying how amazing you were, with the photo booth attendant showing me his goosebumps whilst you played!
