"Jamie was fantastic from start to finish, incorporating some songs we’d asked for with some spur of the moment classics that got everyone dancing for hours on end! He managed to make the most of the weather on the day with an outdoor set that sounded incredible, and then kicked of the evening with a lively indoor one. The music was the perfect fit for our day, and everyone commented on how great he sounded. Huge thanks and for anyone who books him you’ll have an amazing time!"

"The band set up according to the plan that had been agreed and once the music got underway, the dance floor was packed for the whole night. Some of our guests had never been to this type of evening before and all we had back was extremely positive comments about the band and of the whole evening, which was to celebrate our daughter’s 30th Birthday. The band was an integral part of the night and made the night go with a swing. Well worth the 5***** GEOFF WARNER"

"If you haven't seen this band and you are into pirate folk rock then don't delay. It was the first time for me and I was blown away. If you want a lively evening with some very talented musicians who want you to join in with them then this is for you!!"

"We had a joint 50th & 80th birthday party. Black Velvet were fantastic. Great musicians and made the Barn dance run smoothly. We had ages from 5 to 80 and they tailored everything perfectly. Made it a birthday to remember."

"Having Absolute Band topped off our perfect day. I don't think we really got any photos as everyone was dancing from the moment they came on. In fact, I think people were even dancing to their sound check! Communication was great throughout the booking process and we liked that you could choose to add certain musicians so we included a fiddler as we wanted some Irish classics too. The band played two brilliant sets and before we knew it, the night was over. Exactly how we wanted our wedding to end, with everyone wanting more! "Wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that Mark did a fabulous job for my birthday. It was a tough crowd as everyone was so spread out but Mark was a trooper and kept going and eventually we had my friends up and dancing. Music was varied and well received and Mark was very professional, prompt and friendly. There were lots of comments about how great he was as a performer, very impressive. I’d certainly recommend him to others. Thanks very much again for your help."
