"Hi Aly, A very big thank you for last night - once again, you played an enormous part in making it a much enjoyed evening and, therefore, a resounding success. We had a mix of parents with some who had been last year who, rather than arriving with trepidation, had come along knowing that there were in for a good time, plus some who had heard it was a good event and were keen to get involved. You certainly did a great job of getting people up dancing, providing extremely clear instructions - I just need to work on my sense of direction! Thanks again, Alison."

"Everybody loved the music and everyone had so much fun having a go at the dances – everyone was pleasantly surprised as some people had no idea what to expect! I hope you enjoyed playing and hope you managed to have some food and drinks! Anyway, thanks again – you guys were great and so much fun – we are even considering having another party next year as everyone loved it so much!"

"The band were fantastic for our wedding entertainment. The ceilidh was a big hit and got everyone on the dance floor and together as we’d hoped. Such a great range of cover songs too which made our day, with a finale that was truly memorable! Very professional throughout and a great range of musicians. Would highly recommend!"

The music and combination of dances was perfect and we had many comments on your patience with our lack of prowess on the dance floor!  A great band makes the evening and you certainly did that for us. We all enjoyed it enormously and many of the thankyou letters we have received said what a superb band you were. All we need now is an excuse to ask you back again ! "

" We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."

"Thank you, Angela for providing a beautiful solo performance at my aunt's funeral earlier this month. At very short notice you provided me with a bespoke programme of traditional Irish melodies played before the service. And you even learned a rare Irish tune to play at the end of the service that my aunt loved. All our family and friends in the congregation were so moved. "We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"
