"Now that Zish and I are back from our honeymoon we wanted to say "Thankyou" yet again for the fantastic job you did on our wedding night. Zish and I both really enjoyed it, and loads of people have complemented us on our choice - you did a great job of getting people onto the dance floor. Even people who asked me if I was mad having a ceilidh turned around and told me how glad they were to have been proved wrong, and I know about 2 of the Irish guys surprised everyone by getting up to dance when normally they say "Over my dead body"! Some of Zish's colleagues suggested making ceilidh dancing a regular team event!"

"Thank you Ken for your contribution to making our Party on Saturday so brilliant. You were absolutely the right choice to give our guests (all 110) an introduction to line dancing. You got the balance right and the fun came as a result. The two late afternoon 45 minute sessions were the right balance to get the guests ready and up and dancing to the Band in the evening. "If I could give more than 5* I would! Barn With Us were incredible at our wedding and really made the evening celebrations fantastic. We wanted a country band that could really get everyone up and dancing and they did not disappoint! We also had a caller to help with the line dancing and our guests had such a fun time learning the steps. Lilac was brilliant from start to end and really understood what we wanted and offered some very helpful suggestions on timings for the evening. We wanted to do a specific song for our first dance and the band were so accommodating of this and it was perfect. We also had Remko for a DJ set after the live band and he was brilliant to end the night on a high. I would thoroughly recommend the band and DJ if you are looking for great energy and brilliant music for a special event. Some of our guests have already booked the band for a 70th Birthday celebration - so we look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you so much to Sound With Us for making our wedding so brilliant - you really were the highlight of our wedding! Sophie & Guy x"

"A huge thanks to The Shooglers for a fantastic evening at Ross Priory for Kathryn's 50th Birthday Ceilidh. The band were fantastic and got everyone up dancing from the bairns ( The "Duracell Baby" 18-month-old Ava) to the adults (80+ year old gran) in what was a memorable night for our family and friends. The pattern was good, the ceilidh music was great and Pink Floyd's "The Wall" during A Dashing White Sergeant is STILL being talked about. Thanks for a great gig guys and would highly recommend for a booking...why would you choose anyone other than The Rockiest Ceilidh band in the World? "

"My legs are still aching because I danced so much! The band arrived on time and were very friendly and helpful and the music was delightful. It was a mixed crowd, many of whom had never met each other before but with one thing in common – they had never done ceilidh dancing before! The caller was absolutely brilliant – it didn’t matter that most people had no idea how to dance the reels! Everyone joined in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."

"I booked Black Velvet Band Irish Duo for my Mum’s 80th. It was a small family gathering in the back garden. The band were fantastic and even my mum was up dancing. It was a rare and happy sight!"
