"We had Blue Jewel to play at our wedding in December. They were absolutely brilliant. The caller was great with clear instructions and nothing was too complicated. We had lots of guests who had never been to a ceilidh before and were up dancing all evening. It was so much fun, and our family and friends are still talking about it now. We would recommend Blue Jewel without reservation!"

"Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"

"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? "Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year – everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band Irish Trio played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn’t have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees – which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers."

"Had Lucy & Jack for our wedding band and they took care of music for the whole day, from ceremony right up to the end of the night and it was perfect. Michael was a lovely guy who really kept the atmosphere rocking - not that we needed much encouragement - and the whole celebration was utterly magical. "Sound with Us were brilliant. Every part of the process from booking the band, sorting playlists and explaining how the night would run was done effortlessly and made me feel confident that they would look after us and put on a good show. The night went seamlessly and they performed beyond expectation. The girls had the best night and everyone loved the line dancing/barn dance. The DJ was great - no one noticed him setting up and the transition from band to DJ was perfect. A lovely team to have on the night. Thank you so much for making it a truly successful memorable party."
