We were impressed with how The Shooglers enthused the many German guests with the spirit of ceilidh dancing, even though none of them had ever seen anything like it before! So many of our guests mentioned to us afterwards how much fun they had at the ceilidh too so many, many thanks! You guys are great! "

"Wow Rachel was amazing, i requested 2 songs (one just 2 days before the event) Rachel happily learnt and played my songs and they were brilliant, she came to my house and played beautifully and organised herself very well. I did not need to help with anything. Her songs were great and so was her singing. She was a lovely person and im so pleased i booked her. Thank you"

"Dear Lilac, I just wanted to send a thank you to you and the band for the 2 August performance. Everyone really enjoyed the music and commented on how the country band was excellent. I appreciate your learning the songs I sent over- I think you did a brilliant job. You also did a great mix of music that went really well together, we really enjoyed dancing to it. My husband said he thought you and your band made the weekend, you were his favorite and that is saying a lot considering we had 4 performances that weekend. "Rachel performed for us on the 25th at The Pheasant Inn in Winnersh - extremely professional service and even brought along a support act to start the evening off. Rachel performed a range of covers to cater to all of our customers and even took requests to ensure the atmosphere was buzzing! Extremely interactive with the audience and staff members on the evening encouraging everyone to join in and have a little boogie! - with this she even managed to get our loyal locals out of their little corner to come and enjoy the performance! (some of those even danced along!) Booked again for July and we cannot wait to see what is in store for the next performance! "

"Black Velvet Band Irish Trio - Cheltenham Gold Cup - March 2025 Absolutely brilliant band - everybody loved them! We booked the band to play at The Three Lions, Stourport-on-Severn on Gold Cup Day 2025 and didn't regret the decision. They came in set up and started playing straight away and immediately the dance floor was full. We were turning people away at the door as the pub was full to the brim! They played to the crowd and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well. "

"St Patrick's night at the Old Fire House Exeter was electric last night. The Extonions were well on form and had the place buzzing. Mac on his green electric fiddle raced away with jigs getting faster and faster, I'm surprised his fiddle didn't catch fire. Mike sang in his sexy Hank Marvin deep gravel voice with a lovely Irish twang. That got the ladies swooning. John swapped with ease from 6 to 12 string guitar and kept up a driving beat together with fingers flying over the strings to create a magical sound. James maintained the foundation of the band with solid bass. The place was so packed it was like how many people can you get in a telephone box, they just kept pouring in. There must have been hundreds at the gig. Feedback said it was the best St Patrick's venue in Exeter that night and greatly down to The Extonions. I highly recommend you don't miss their next gig."

So sorry for this late reply but we have been busy. We loved playing there although mature talented experienced musicians the younger audience went wild and like you said thought it was the best St Patrick's Night Exeter in Exeter. Mac 🙂 🎨 🎻

"Rachel played at our wedding and was just wonderful! She played and sang beautifully and added just what we needed to the afternoon of our wedding. She also happily stayed on later than agreed, with no questions asked! I would happily recommend her to anyone who wanted lovely relaxed live music at their wedding. Thank you very much X X "

"Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!”"
