"Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year – everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band Irish Trio played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn’t have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees – which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers."

"We wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the band for playing at our wedding last weekend. You were absolutely brilliant!! You played some of the family favourites just beautifully and absolutely filled the dance floor for our (ahem – unofficial) ceilidh. We had so much fun dancing the night away. I understand one of the 3 year old cousins asked you to play one of the tunes again – I suspect that is a moment that will go down in family history. Also – thank you so much for all your help before the wedding – I’m notoriously bad at returning phone calls and you were fantastic at staying in touch and keeping on top of communication – I really appreciated that."

"We booked Irish Folk/Pop Band for our wedding evening , and oh my goodness these guys are amazing !! Leading up to the wedding communication was great , and they were so accommodating to playlists and to requests. Every one of my guests has said to me how great our band was, 100 % recommend! Have asked the lads to drop us a wee message if they're playing anywhere locally as we want to see them play again."

"Brilliant band for my sons charity night in Northampton. I booked a 5 piece as I wanted a fiddle player, great musicians, Steve top singer, Luke the engineer was really kind and very helpful with a video link of Zac. "Lilac, Remko and all of the band are simply brilliant!! Wholeheartedly recommended! We hired Funk With Us to play at our wedding party. From the very first enquiry Lilac was super friendly, very considerate of what we wanted, flexible and always there to answer our questions and offer good suggestions on the song lists, set-up, etc. And the performance on the night was amazing!! High quality sound and musicianship, but more importantly the whole band did a fantastic job in creating a fun party vibe which got everyone dancing for hours. All of our guests commented for days afterwards how great they were! Thank you Funk With Us, you guys rock!!! ?"

"More than just a wedding band; they provide a tailor made service that is of the highest, professional quality. We both work in the entertainment industry and were struggling to find a band that would meet our exacting standards but they completely blew us away and we had the best wedding party ever! "Mark and his band played last night for my birthday party and they were fantastic, they quickly had everyone up on there feet, nobody wanted the night to end, we could of danced all through the night if we were allowed! Number one complaint about the night from friends today, was how there legs hurt so much today from all the dancing! Mark and his band were highly professional and there sound was fantastic, thank you so much Party Sound for making my evening so special. We would highly recommend this band to anyone and will know doubt ask them to play for us again in the future."

"My birthday ceilidh was extremely enjoyable and the band played a large part in setting and sustaining a lively and very jolly atmosphere! It certainly wasn't hard to get people on their feet and dancing and Alan's calling was clear and simple enough to follow, though, of course, not everyone managed to do so absolutely all the time. A great and memorable evening. Many thanks to Black Velvet"
