"We hired the Bourbon Street Stompers through Last Minute Musicians for a birthday party and they were fantastic. They were professional and friendly, both before the event and during and had people dancing from the first song to the last. The event wouldn't have been the same without them -- big thanks to James and the group."

"Talented Accordionist, very helpful and obliging too. I booked Jonny for my wedding a few months before, we had quite specific requirements as we'd had to pick our wedding music earlier than we thought for the registry office. Fortunately, Jonny was able to play pretty much everything we needed and was willing to learn pieces he didn't know already. In addition, he sent over a sample of the piece I wanted to walk down the aisle to, in advance. On the day he was great, everything went to plan and we had a lot of compliments on the music."

"They arrived promptly, set up without any fuss, played two brilliant sets , were very generous with their time and got everyone dancing. Mike called the dances clearly and gave people chance to have a quick practice. Mike encouraged everyone and the dance floor never emptied. The band really helped make the wedding very special. "

"We had such a great time with the band at our wedding last weekend! All our guests had a great laugh and really loved the dancing. We may not have a career in dancing but it definitely was fun! We also really appreciate the band calling out a dance for our first dance. It was so much nicer than swaying on a dance floor to a slow song in front of everyone. "

" We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."

"Tzigauners played at our wedding reception in London recently - they were brilliant! their music was perfect and really completed the atmosphere for the evening. The band as a whole were friendly, approachable and flexible on the day which was much appreciated. Alex who we contacted initially, was very professional, quick to respond and very easy to talk to, which are really valuable qualities when planning such a big event. I'd definitely recommend them. "

"Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!”"
