Review Centre: Folk Groups

"Liam was asked to sing and play acoustically for my mums memorial at the "lost village of Dode" near Gravesend. As part of the set he was asked to learn and play two songs he had not played before, the songs were all folk ballads. I was slightly apprehensive about getting the right person for my mum's memorial but after my initial contact with Liam I knew he was the chap! On all communication he showed sensitivity and a strong will to play what we desired. On the day he played with great accomplishment and musicality. The tone, sound and timing were perfect. Many of the congression complimented me afterwards on the choice of musician. Thank you Liam for contributing to make such a special occasion that will be held in our memories."

"We booked Caravan Swing for our charity event in at Gallery House -they were fabulous! The musicians were great and the band entered the spirit of the evening, despite playing outside on a slightly chilly Aberdeenshire evening. Thank you - we hope you will come back!!"

"The whole evening was amazing but was topped off by the Full Beans who were awesome! I have had so many lovely comments from people about how great they thought the band were from their music selection to the lead singer to the great atmosphere they created. I could not have been happier. I would recommend them and your service to anyone. It made everything so stress free particularly with your regular emails leading up to the night itself."

"You were AMAZING!! Everything about you and your team was awesome. You made me feel so comfortable in communications beforehand and I wasn’t worried about a thing as a result. And I was right not to worry, as it was perfect from start to finish. The music and the 'calling' were the best I have ever come across. And the piper too was brilliant. "Becky was absolutely fabulous, we are so glad that we chose her. I had a sense that she would be good, based on the videos and reviews on your site but she exceeded all expectations. Her style, professionalism and approach to the music was perfect and very fitting for the occasion. I know that my mum would have been very pleased. We have had many positive comments on the event and Becky's contribution most certainly raised the whole thing to a higher level of experience."

"I always love watching the Kindred Spirit Duo playing a gig, because their brilliant folk-rock/pop covers never fail to get me and my friends up dancing the night away. They play a great selection of songs and every one seems to be my favourite, Elaine's vocals and guitar playing are superb and Martin is a virtuoso on the electric violin. They both have great personalities and stage presence and are highly recommended by me :-)"

"This band is absolutely incredible both live and recorded. Live, they are hugely versatile and highly engaging, getting the audience on their feet dancing and singing along, or sitting back in awe as Amy hits those stunning high notes in Somewhere over the Rainbow. Their studio recordings are absolutely magical, I have them on repeat on all my playlists! My absolute favourite is Fotheringay for which they have a beautifully haunting music video too. Their own original songs are also absolutely fantastic, of indistinguishable quality from their covers. A great band recommended for any occasion."

"I booked Roaming Wild primarily because I wanted a fun but casual band to provide entertainment for my 40th birthday party and to get everybody involved. They did such a fantastic job, working the room and involving everyone. Their ability to get a feel for the party and be able to mix and mash-up music and songs off the cuff was amazing. Highly recommended and would definitely use them again!"
