"The Shooglers played at our wedding in May and they were great! They were brilliant at calling the ceilidh dances and Davie (the caller) certainly has the gift of the gab! He encouraged everyone to get up and dance and had people laughing in the process with lines like, 'the next dance is a prize dance... Prise yourselves off your seats and get up to dance!' All our guests commented on how good the band was and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - a great find! "

"Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Murphy's Lore for Saturday night - you were fantastic and absolutely made the day. We had lots of first time ceilidh-ers who were sceptical before it began and they kept telling me how much fun they were having! This really was the most fun evening. Great energy and enthusiasm . What happy memories we will all have of all that laughter"

"Brilliant night last Sat at ‘The Prince’ in Crowthorne with Rachel Redman and her duo Vanilla Candy, fantastic singers and song choices, couldn’t stop dancing to the popular songs, will definitely go along to another ‘gig’ sometime soon."

"Second time we have heard Blue jewel - the first at their recent gig in the Stoke Gabriel Village hall just last Saturday they put on a Ceilidh Dance for our wedding reception. Really great on both occasions - super caller for our dance - just right for the many who had never done folk dancing and on both occasions their enthusiasm and light touch really made for a great evening. Would recommend for any occasion "

"Kip and his Ceilidh band performed at our wedding 30 years ago and proved the perfect choice for getting everyone involved, whatever their age, shape or size! Family and friends talked about the dancing for years after. There was simply nobody else to consider when we returned to Cornwall to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Once again, the dance floor was packed, some with a modicum of timing and coordination. Others with absolutely none. We all had the best time. If you want everyone involved and loads of fun, look no further than the Blue Jewel Ceilidh band. Thanks Kip. "

"Black Velvet Band Irish Trio came to play at our relaxed outdoor pre-wedding get together of about 40 people. The three who made up the band were great – very talented musicians – they played all our favourites as well as some wider material. They were very keen to fit in with what we wanted to hear and gauged the mood as to whether to sing ballads or play jigs (after a few drinks people were up for having a bit of a dance). It was such a joy to hear live music again after all these months of covid restrictions. The Band really made the evening and they were really lovely people."

"No matter who we speak to that was at our wedding evening party, ALL of them say the band was amazing and we wholeheartedly agree! Possibly the best ceilidh band I've heard, topped off with really clear, friendly instruction (which can make or break this sort of thing)! Even those who aren't so inclined to dancing loved it so I can't think of a better way to get everyone involved and enjoying themselves. The guys were really helpful to deal with and the best priced as well so I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you very much for making the evening such a success chaps!"

"Wow – what a band. Deeanee is an exceptionally talented singer. The were especially tailored for the event and we were up dancing or singing along to each and every one! A fantastic evening enjoyed by all and we would thoroughly recommend Country Bound – Midlands for a wedding, birthday anniversary or any event!"
