"Thank you all very much for coming to play at The Royal Thames last evening – the music was excellent – as was the address and grace – thank you Stuart for helping us out on that too!  And Jill you were amazing to keep control of such an unruly bunch – the older ones as well as the young – and stop it descending into chaos!!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it made a very happy evening with families and age groups.  I think certain people may find it difficult to get up for work this morning!"

"The band was hired for a joint 70th surprise party for my mum and auntie. Despite the party's age demographic, the dance floor was always full. The band played a perfect selection of songs for both young and old. They were accommodating when it came to the limited space at the venue. The band sounded amazing and received many compliments. I will definitely hire them again."

Both my partner and I haven’t quite been able to get over how brilliant you guys were. We have had floods of messages from guests, the venue and our external suppliers (DJ, photographers and photo booth) saying how amazing you were, with the photo booth attendant showing me his goosebumps whilst you played! "Thank you so much to Ceilidh With Us for all the band did for our wedding, we absolutely loved the ceilidh - it was so much fun and we are 100% satisfied! 😃 The caller was fantastic and explained everything very clearly. The music was really fun and it was helpful when songs got gradually faster; the speed was perfect. The band also managed the number of people well, as there were a lot of people for the space. The communication with the band has been absolutely fantastic as well in terms of meetings, arranging things behind the scenes, and coordinating with the venue. We ended up leaving a bit early simply because we were absolutely exhausted by that point, and the band were wonderful and accommodating in terms of changing the order of songs, so thank you for that - it was a shame we couldn’t stay right until the end!"

"We can't thank Juniper enough for doing such a fab Ceilidh for our wedding! Everything from start to finish was so professional and smooth. The band liaised with other musicians from the day re equipment and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The music was just fabulous - incredible players, amazing sound, lively and fun vibe and the band were so relaxed and are clearly very talented individuals and very well rehearsed. The caller was brilliant and had all our guests up and dancing immediately. They were very good at explaining the more complicated dances and held the room very well. Our guests had such a lovely time and all commented how amazing the band was and how much fun they had. The Ceilidh really made our wedding special and we would most definitely book the band again."

"Had Whisky & Ginger for our wedding band and they took care of music for the whole day, from ceremony right up to the end of the night and it was perfect. "The Black Velvet Band Trio were extremely talented musicians who delivered a good range of Irish tunes to a very high standard. Overall they provided a great night’s entertainment, and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to hold an Irish themed night. Unfortunately we were not allowed dancing due to Covid restrictions, once these are lifted the night would be even better."

"Booked them for my wedding reception Oct 2017. To be honest, they were really quite rude, especially Mick who led it. They arrived grumpy, ate loads of the food without asking, complained a lot, and one of them went around grabbing our guests to get them to dance. I don't consider myself fussy... but I expected more as a paying customer on my wedding day. Music was good to be fair though."
