Review Centre: String Quartets

"We booked this quartet for our ceremony and post-wedding drinks reception and they were one of the highlights of our day! Their extensive repertoire meant that we could enjoy our favourite rock, metal, film and Disney songs in classical format, and we had many guests commenting on how much fun they had listening to them. We wanted to walk out of the ceremony to the Island song from Adventure Time, which had never been arranged for a string quartet before. This was no trouble for Kim and her team who were able to put it together in a matter of weeks. I cannot recommend them highly enough!"

"We are so delighted to have found Caroline and friends. It was the icing on the cake for my husband and I’s joint 50th birthday celebration last Saturday night. They played a varied selection of music. Our guests thought they were brilliant. Caroline was lovely to deal with from start to finish. Definitely use again."

"Dahlia Music performed at our wedding. The music was very special for us, and our guests also commented how much they enjoyed the string quartet (including many guests who are not usually fans of classical music). Dahlia were very organised in the run-up to the day, responding to our emails quickly. Their website was very helpful, but when we had questions they talked us through their repertoire. We asked for a few songs that they did not have in their existing repertoire -- no problem, they sourced the music and played it perfectly. Dahlia were warm, friendly, and professional at all times. They arrived with plenty of time to set up, were very smartly dressed, and fit seamlessly into the day. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a very special addition to their wedding (or other event)."

"Hi Anne, Please pass on my thanks to the rest of the quartet and also the person who was responsible for the amazing arrangements you played. They were very elegantly put together and none of the pop songs sounded forced or out of place despite the drastic change of instrumentation! In fact i'd say some of them soudned better this way. We particularly enjoyed the foo fighters arrangements, and I saw a number of guests singing along and conducting their way through Nessun Dorma. Sarah and I we're running around a lot but whenever we stopped to listen we loved what we heard. We didn't hear a note out of place and the intonation between you all was of the best we've heard from a quartet. It is obvious that you all take a lot of pride in what you do, the years of experience show. I know our guests were also very complimentary about it and we will happily recommend you to anyone who asks. It was worth every penny. Thank you once again, the music was beautiful! "Absolutely incredible! My husband and I saw them at a wedding fayre and I normally would walk past something like this as I assumed it would just be classical music. I am so glad we stopped and listened to them play! They played such a variety of music (current songs, tv shows, classical) even learnt to play a song for us. We had them playing after our service (25.08.18) whilst people were having drinks and partly whilst eating. They went down so well with our guests. Our only regret is we only had them for 2 hours, if you're debating how long to book them for go longer! They are so talented and also lovely people."

"Verified I couldn't recommend anyone better than The Element String Quartet, they were absolutely perfect and made our wedding ceremony feel just that bit more special. Throughout the whole process they were extremely communicative and accommodating, everything was very clear and explained in detail. We asked them to learn a specific (and quite obscure!) song with little notice and they were able to put together an arrangement for us in time. The only thing I regret is that I wasn't able to watch them play myself as I was walking down the aisle! All our guests commented on how superb they were. Thank you so much to Caroline and the group!"
