" Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio performed at our Wedding reception. The music was fantastic and Alan the caller talked our guests through the dances with patience and wit. Our guests included some serious Scottish dancing enthusiasts together with a lot of enthusiastic amateurs, complete beginners and no hopers - all of whom had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend the band and a couple of our guests made enquiries about booking them for upcoming events, which speaks for itself. Thank you for providing us with fantastic memories filled with joy and laughter. "

"Thank you so much for playing at our wedding - you were fantastic and we had a wonderful time dancing with our guests! The evening was perfect, everything we had wished for. Everyone said how much they enjoyed it and you could really tell from all the laughing and smiling that the guests were having a great time. Some people had never been to a ceilidh before and I think they are now hooked! The music was wonderful and we really appreciated you playing some French folk dances for the French side of the family. From the moment we got in touch with you we knew you were the right band choice, as you were so friendly and professional. You went out of your way to make sure the evening went as planned. Thank you especially for letting us steal you away from your set-up to play us a few maypole tunes and for staying and helping us with the after ceilidh disco. Wishing you lots of good luck in the future and if we ever plan another ceilidh we know who to call!"

"BM Ceilidh Band were exceptional for our Military Burns formal dinner night. Dave was lovely to work with on the lead up to the event, and catered for a last minute date change with no fuss – thank you so much for that. On the night Dave, Alan and Gerry were just excellent! Their knowledge and variety of Ceilidh songs ensured the night was a roaring success with the dance floor full for every song. The combination of the Melodian, Guitar and superb singing really made the night special. 100% would recommend to anyone and hope to have them again for future events. "

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"I've wanted to try live music in our little Country pub for the longest time and Lucy and Jack were so great I'll definitely be having them back again and again. Engaging, entertaining, and had people up dancing all night. Can't recommend enough!"

"The Shooglers delivered a fun and lively ceilidh and dealt with some organisational glitches on our side very professionally and without complaint. Our timings had drifted badly and the disco we had booked took all the space we had reserved for The Shooglers. The band was very professional, and flexible and set up at the other end of the marquee and delivered a very professional, fun ceilidh. "

"We've seen Ben and The Shamrock Experience before (at a local pub where they were playing) and I asked them to play at my 50th. Communication beforehand was perfect and Ben made sure that he and the DJ were in tune so as not to overlap on the night. The evening itself was amazing, with lots of dancing and enjoyment. Whilst I doubt any of us will be winning any competitions any time soon, everyone has said what a great time it was and how good the Ceilidh band were."

"Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! "Thank you knoxville highway for making my 50th birthday party such a great night. You had all my guests on the dance floor from start to finish. The whole evening was based on a country and western. Your music set was perfect all the classics were played. All the guest have messaged me to say having a live band perform made the evening so authentic. "ust wanted to say thank you so much for the music, fun and sheer merriment you provided on Saturday. It was an absolutely cracking party, everyone had a blast and my parents loved every minute! Your music was perfect, you had everyone up singing and got everyone in the party spirit. Everyone has been passing on their thanks and regards, so just wanted to say thank you for making the party such a special and memorable occasion.
