"The band was booked to play at our fund raiser event at Farringdon Village Hall, East Devon. We had organised a village Barn Dance / Social in order for parishioners to gather from around the extensive parish, and to raise funds for the village hall. Wow! How great were these guys!!!??? Simply brilliant. Three very laid back, no fuss, no nonsense musicians who worked wonders in getting everyone dancing to some great tunes. Even die-hard 'non-dancers' were dancing. A friend and neighbour found this band and recommended that we use them. What a great choice. We would certainly recommend Blue Jewel to anyone considering hiring a professional local Ceilidh band. Thank you very much Blue Jewel; you certainly helped make the night a great success."

I was a bit worried that some of my guests would run for the hills, once they realised that they were in for Scottish country dancing, but actually they had a ball, as did I. You did a great job! "Lilac and Remko rock! Absolutely one of the highlights of our day was seeing a kick-ass 8 piece get the whole room dancing to our Motown-inspired playlist. They helped with curation to ensure we picked the right floor-fillers and chucked in a couple of modern classics and a vocal cameo from one of our guests in, too. We really can't recommend them enough. Everything was smooth and our day was honestly even better because of them ."

"We very much enjoyed having The Blue Jewel Celidh Band at our Platinum Jubilee Hoe Down event. Marquee based. Fantastic, lively tunes and the caller made sure everyone was included and were able to follow. They played us off our feet! Much fun was had by all! Throughout the planning they were easily contactable and very accommodating. Highly recommended!"

"We booked Up The Country for our western themed summer works do, they didn't disappoint and put on a great show. Everyone commented the next day on how good the band were! We wouldn't hesitate booking them again."

"Rastrum played for our Burns Night at the University of York last week and it was one of the most successful student events we've had in months! It was the perfect setting for students to relax and have fun with old and new friends. The atmosphere was just buzzing and we've already had requests from students asking to do this again. The band were flexible with our venue change and were generous with the dances. The caller was very clear and warm which made the evening incredibly inclusive, especially as over 100 of our students had no idea what a ceilidh was at the start of the evening! So by popular demand I think we'll be getting a ceilidh booked in again very soon. And last but not least, the band play together perfectly and the tunes they chose were brilliant. "
