"I cannot say enough about how fantastic Danny was at our wedding. We were let down 3 weeks prior to our date, not for the first time, and I had lost faith in anyone being professional and reliable at this point. Even though Danny had a previous booking on our date, because ours was an earlier time slot, he willingly accepted our booking. I had a specific aisle song that I wanted playing outdoors and after waiting 18 months to hear it from our previous band, Danny had the first audio draft sent to me within 2 days. Upon hearing the first sentence of 7 words I was in tears, and knew that this was our version of the song. Danny was sat on a log stump outdoors with just his guitar playing to our guests as they arrived, and as I began walking through the field he sang the perfect rendition of our song. He then played another set to welcome our guests inside the tipi and everything was perfect. We didn't have a lot of time to chat on the day, but the music I could hear and the happiness of our guests said everything we needed to know. Danny is not only a very talented musician with a stunning live vocal, but also very down to earth but very professional. I'm not sure what event I will need entertainment for again in the future, but if I do, this is who I will be booking."

"It's not the first time we'd seen you play Tim. You performed at my sister's 50th last year. You were so good my wife and I had to book you for our party too. What a good idea that was!"

"The best customer service and helpfulness I have had this century. Remko you should be knighted Thanks for helping out of a very tight spot late on a Saturday afternoon for little or no reward. Regards Colin 5 stars"

"We hired Danny to play our private party. We had loved what we heard from his profile, but nothing prepared us for how exceptional he was on the day. Professional, friendly and very understanding in the face of some fairly strange antics going on from some of the guests (we were all dressed as prawns). To top it all off, when we were quoting Fry & Laurie sketches after he'd finished, he joined in with us. I'd be tempted to adopt him if I didn't already have three kids of my own. What an amazing guitarist, singer and all round entertainer. Thanks Danny!"

"We loved having the Railroad Four at your wedding. Communication leading up was easily and they were extremely accommodating allowing me to drum along for two songs. Wish we’d had them longer, guests loved them. Thank you so much!!"

"What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

"Each year our section hold a rally. Each year we visit a different location alternating between the UK and Europe. It was my turn to organise a weeks rally in the UK, and I chose the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown as our base. We needed some form of entertainment for our Gala Night. Our group are in the in main middle fifties and some over eighty so the last thing we need was a rock group. I had some opposition when I suggested a Folk group but I prevailed and have to say that tracking down a band was in the area was extremely difficult. Typing a search in Google for local folk groups resulted in names almost everywhere except in the West Country. Eventually I contacted Blue Jewel and Steve convinced me that they could adapt to our needs. Every single person enjoyed the groups performance, there were 62 people there and almost every single one said how much they enjoyed the group. As the organiser I was greatly impressed by the way they accommodated our requirements and we had a brilliant night. Thank you Blue Jewel Chris. "I would 100% recommend Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band to anyone! It was the highlight of our wedding reception and got everyone involved no matter what age. The caller was clear and friendly and the music was brilliant. There was a mix of interesting and entertaining dances and we could have had them for another few hours and still been dancing! Thanks for a very memorable evening. "

"LMM organised the setting up of the event in a very efficient friendly and helpful manner. Even when our original act pulled out unexpectedly Sarah-Jane bent over backwards to ensure we got a similar act at a similar price, all at relatively short notice We were delighted with tremendous set which Martin and Anna of the Ardvierikie Ceilidh Band performed for us all on our son’s wedding night; it exceeded all of our expectations! Right from the word go, their professionalism and enthusiasm shone through, with both demonstrating superb musicianship combined with the excellent calling skills of Anna who got everyone up on their feet for the whole night! It gave all of us all an amazing evening to remember all our lives and greatly contributed to the success of the wedding as a whole."

"For 13 years I have coordinated highly successful ceilidh dances in Bishopbriggs High School and now the new Bishopbriggs Academy. These Christmas dances are the culmination of 3 weeks of social dance with all year groups and it it a priority of mine that we have live music to create an upbeat atmosphere. I consider it part of my job to ensure these traditional dances are taught in school in a way pupils will enjoy and will perpetuate. This year I secured the services of The Shooglers for our S5/6 dance. The evening was a fantastic success and enjoyed immensely by pupils and staff alike. The band worked a perfect blend of traditional Scottish dance tunes with contemporary music the pupils are familiar with, which heightened their participation in – and positive attitude to – “social dancing”. I have already asked the band to perform at next year’s S5/6 dance in the school. I know it will be a special occasion. I recommend The Shooglers unreservedly to anyone hosting school dances, weddings or any kind of function. "
