"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"Hired for a Ceilidh at our wedding. Super easy to organise and on the day the band and callers were lovely. Adapted very quickly when everyone was getting too hot and we managed to do the rest of the sets outside which was amazing."

"The Northern Ceilidh band performed at our wedding reception and were fabulous! Jon and the others are extremely talented musicians, and Joyce an experienced and engaging caller. The dance floor for the ceilidh was full from start to finish, and our guests had so much fun. Prior to the wedding, Jon and Joyce went to the trouble of videoing a sequence for us so that we could practice a ‘first dance’ with friends. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Wonderful people, wonderful musicians and a wonderful night of dancing. If you’re looking for a fantastic Ceilidh band, look no further! "

"The highlight of the night is the musical score which has been devised by cast member Richard - L’Accordionist. He provides accompaniment using a variety of instruments including an accordion, tuba and even two pairs of scissors."

"David and the band were brilliant. The booking process was fine and communications beforehand were simple and effective with the minimum of fuss. The band turned up exactly as planned on the day and although we kept them waiting because we were running behind, they accepted it all in good humour and waited patiently to start. Our guests were full of praise for them and loved their originality and musicianship. I just wish that it hadn't been quite so warm in the venue that evening and a few more people had danced along."

"Many thanks for the 2 fabulous guitar sessions you played at our party last Saturday night. I wanted to be able to sit and listen properly but clearly that wasn’t going to happen. "We just wanted to say thank you to you and to the rest of the band for the most fantastic two sets at our wedding. Friends and family are still asking us about you all and saying it's the best band they've heard at a wedding. We were delighted with all the songs that you chose and especially grateful to you for playing 'Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You'. The accordion sounded great in that song! You judged the mood of the evening perfectly and the music moved along beautifully in response to this. I think it was a real highlight of the day for us and all of our guests, especially the children who loved seeing you all playing your instruments."

"The band were absolutely brilliant! Our crowd is sometimes hard to please but they got everyone up and dancing in no time. The setup and sound checks were professional and seamless with no disturbance to guests. I had great reviews from guests and the vibe in the pub was brilliant. We will defiantly be having Boots & Buckles back. "

"The Shooglers showed up and showed out for our wedding!! Everyone was raving about how fun the ceilidh was and my father in law is still talking about how the band was his favorite part of the day. Thank you to all the members of The Shooglers for an epic ceilidh party and being so patient with a bunch of Americans who couldn’t understand your accents. "
