"We had a really great evening. The musicians were very friendly and accommodating. When some of our guests were late arriving because of the dreaded road closure and subsequent diversions, they adapted their sets to suit our timings and many non-dancers were encouraged to get up and shake a leg. Everyone said how much they enjoyed themselves and we would certainly recommend and use them again."

"Wow! What an evening we had! We absolutely LOVED our wedding evening and you absolutely made the night! We LOVED the dances, and so did all our guests. I couldn’t get over how good you all were! Thank you SO much for being such an excellent band, to plan with before our wedding and to perform on the night. We’ve attached some photos, which we hope you like too! "ust wanted to say thank you so much for the music, fun and sheer merriment you provided on Saturday. It was an absolutely cracking party, everyone had a blast and my parents loved every minute! Your music was perfect, you had everyone up singing and got everyone in the party spirit. Everyone has been passing on their thanks and regards, so just wanted to say thank you for making the party such a special and memorable occasion. We’ll all be there in force at The Water Poet in Spitalfield’s London next year on St Patrick’s Day, so we’ll be sure to come and say hello again! "The three chaps that make up this band were fantastic on the night, I've had nothing but compliments from the many people in attendance. The music they played was perfect, my 80 year old Irish father who's party it was hasn't stopped smiling since Saturday night. They actually learnt a song which is one of his favourites for the night. And it went down very well. I would recommend the lads to my friends and family events in the future for sure. Many thanks. "Please pass on my thanks and huge congratulations to the Black Velvet Band for making the evening one to remember! The members of the band were very friendly and excellent at leading the crowds all of various ages! It was a night to remember for all the right reasons and I have not smiled so much since my wedding day! The Swiss roll formation is genius and the children (and adults) are still wondering how it worked! We will most definitely be booking them again!"

"The ceilidh went amazingly well! The dance floor was full all evening. I put it down to Eddy and Mike, who played tunes with such an exciting beat that you just couldn’t stay still. The caller was huge fun. I highly recommend the band."

"The Cesarz Tabor Duo played while I walked down the aisle and it was so beautiful!! During the ceremony they played classical music and a piece we had chosen, then played some lovely jazz on the lawn while everyone had drinks. It really made our day!"

"I had the Misophone Collective to play my wedding a couple of weeks back, and they were sensational! The multi-instrumentalist singer they provided in particular was an incredible showman. We would highly recommend them."

"We hired Richard and the Tzigauners jazz group for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! So talented. They learned three songs for our ceremony which made it feel that much more unique and special. They also were very flexible and adaptable to timing and locations on the property (we set up in two locations). My only regret was not hearing them more! (Being a bride you get pulled away so often!) A huge thank you to the band!!!"

"First time I'd been to a Jazz concert. It was what I expected and more. An outside charity event at Gallery House near Marykirk in Aberdeenshire. It was a cold evening for June but the band kept us warm ? Hoping this event happens every year and they come back??"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio provided a brilliant ceilidh for our wedding celebrations at Goldney Hall, Bristol on 12 August 2017. What a fantastic evening! The band entertained our hardy Scottish guests with well-known Scottish dances but it was most enjoyable to see English friends and family ceilidh dancing for the first time and loving it! The dances were called very clearly and were quite ambitious so there was much hilarity. It was infectious fun and everyone got involved. (The dance floor was almost too small!) Mike and the band were extremely accommodating, professional and enthusiastic. The band has a huge repertoire and organised the evening flawlessly, from our first dance (Gay Gordons) to the throwing of the bouquet and the final Circassian Circle. Highly recommended. Thanks again for a fantastic evening of fun!"
