"Blue Jewel played at our wedding two weeks ago and they were absolutely fantastic. They were the highlight of the wedding party for us and for many of the wedding guests. Lots of people joined in with the energetic music. Clear instructions for the dances made it easy for everyone to join in. Apart from how fun the celeidh itself was, the thing that we appreciated most of all about Blue Jewel - and the thing that stands out about them - is that it was so easy and stress-free to organise. A couple of emails prior to the wedding to confirm timings and cost (which was very reasonable), and then they turned up on time, were very polite and flexible about us running late with the rest of the wedding, played brilliant music and got everyone up dancing. There was no fuss or stress whatsoever. Absolutely brilliant. We would recommend Blue Jewel to anyone. "

"This is the second year running we have used the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for our St Patrick''s party, and they were a huge hit again. We had our biggest turnout for an event, making it a very successful fundraiser. A big part of this was people wanting to join in with the Ceilidh fun again, having experienced the band last year. The music and calling were excellent, and the dances were great fun. It was great to try some new dances too. Our guests were already talking about next year as they left!"

"Blue Jewel played for the final evening of the International Conference for Research in Music Education, at Reed hall (Exeter University). Despite the very excitable and large group (100+) the band managed to get everyone dancing a lovely variety of simple dances including French and Russian ones. The balance of instruments worked really well in the space (not overpowering) and KIp, the caller. did a great job. "

I am not working today so have spoken with the manager on duty to leave a comment for you. Perhaps then some of our other clients will choose you for their functions at Achnagairn House. "​We booked Juniper for a Burns Night Event at our restaurant. Juniper were so easy going and provided exactly what we wanted & more! The back ground music as diners arrived was perfect and created a great atmosphere. The second set was amazing and got everyone on their feet to finish off a superb evening. We really wouldn’t hesitate recommending these guys & can’t wait to have them back"

" Black Velvet Band Irish Duo came to play at the Christmas Party for our CrossFit Gym held in the farmhouse on the site; they were easy and helpful to deal with from the start; everything clear and simple to follow. The performance was perfect for the occasion and Mike and his colleague were easy going and a pleasure to have around. They spent time with a guest who wanted to learn how to play one of the instruments and were great for getting people up and dancing. Thoroughly recommend the Irish Duo! "

"Davie, I don’t know where to start by thanking you boys for Friday night. There were over 100 peeps there and I would say nearly everyone has commented on how brilliant you were and how you made the night. Big Andy(the big fat loud boy) thinks you’re even better now compared to the wedding and we thought you were awesome then. Everybody had a great time which is mainly down to you guys. We’ve not stopped talking about it since. Hopefully, our paths will meet to let us get Shoogled once more. Pass our regards to the boys. " Before the event - easy and clear communication. On the day: Punctual, relaxed, set up: professional and without any fuss. The music was great. Kip did the calling and was fantastic, clear, extremely patient, great humour but also not overbearing. Great variety of music and dances - so many smiling faces of all ages. There was nothing that could have been improved. Would highly recommend - and already have!"
