"I would 100% recommend Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band to anyone! It was the highlight of our wedding reception and got everyone involved no matter what age. The caller was clear and friendly and the music was brilliant. There was a mix of interesting and entertaining dances and we could have had them for another few hours and still been dancing! Thanks for a very memorable evening. "

"This band are the best in the west! Kip is a brilliant caller - he puts people at their ease and makes it all such fun. Musically the band are top notch - Steve is a brilliant fiddler and they are all so on it and experienced that you know you are in very safe hands. I would recommend them very highly. "

"Just wanted to write to say sincere thanks to you, Gerry and Mike for making our Burns Night so special last night. You created a fantastic and fun atmosphere with your talented playing, vocals and humour while your efforts to organise our dances were much appreciated and enthusiastically received by all. Numerous members of our gathering mentioned to me how much they enjoyed the band. That was also backed up by how ready people were to get up to take part in the dances. You all made the night great fun and memorable and I look forward to seeing you all again at any function in the future including our next Burns Night Supper. "Much impressed. A highly entertaining mix of covers given an interesting twist, and what I especially like best, some brilliant, catchy and well-structured original songs. Elaine and Martin are both great performers and always leave you wishing the 'time' bell was that bit later and they were able to squeeze in another song or three."

"Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"
