"Thank you to the Fiddlestix Band for an awesome evening of entertainment. The band joined us for a big birthday with 100 guests from ages 2 to 80 years. The music was infectious and they really set the tone for an evening of joy and laughter. The caller was great and the music in between sets was lovely (boy that lady has a voice!). "OMG where to begin?!? What an amazing experience we had, from our initial contact with the group/owner/lead singer, Lilac, all the way through to our wedding day. Before booking we had a fair amount of correspondence, information bouncing backwards and forwards with my specific questions to their professional opinions and information. I had a vision which I presented and it was clear from the start we could trust them to produce exactly what was wanted. Once we confirmed our booking, over the 12 months before our wedding, there were zoom chats and even a dinner date for us all to meet and put together our tailored set list arrangements, for both solo acoustic sets and country band sets (which we had booked a 5 piece but due to some changes in circumstances ended up with an 8 piece 🫶🏼👌🏼) Their professionalism is 2nd to none and faultless. On the big day, they arrived early, with their engineer not only managing to get a whole lot of equipment set up and maintained for 2 different on site locations but also spending time documenting the highlights.. the work that goes on behind the scenes is paramount and knowing the basics I was highly impressed. Now, for the performances.. obviously this is what everyone soaks in the most! Perfection is in the eye of the beholder and as I have no doubt, the band will confirm this, my requirement of this is relentless (the musical element to the day was almost as important to me as the day itself) and I can hand on heart express how I felt their performances were exactly the level of perfection I envisioned. I'm not the crying kind, I held back tears at the ceremony but Lilac managed to break me during her solo acoustic performances twice! Upon the band starting to play for our bride and groom enterance to the marquee we were compelled to jump straight onto the dance floor and we were both encapsulated by a stunning performance. Not being one to usually be found on the dancefloor too long I felt the lack of need to leave for the entire 1st set. I remember a conversation with Lilac about being able to get all the guests dancing and my stating I'll put every effort into ensuring that dancefloor was filled. Well, within the 1st minute we went from Mr & Mrs alone on the floor to having the room filled, although my assertiveness instigated this, it was the band that kept them all there from start to finish. What a wonderful wedding we had and what an epic musical experience everyone had! We've had nothing but high praise from all our guests and my only response is "weren't they amazing?!" Finally, on a personal level. These guys are absolutely as lovely as they are professional. Their genuine passion for what they do and their personalities shine through not only their performances with smiles, energy and interactions but just in conversation before and afterwards. Outstanding work, beautiful people. We love you, we loved what you did for us and appreciate each of you for being you and being a major piece of the best day of both our lives 🫶🏼👌🏼🤗 Thankyou!!!! "Barn with us recently played at our wedding in our back garden and they were incredible! Everybody was up swinging each other around to Cotton Eye Joe and other great hits. Lilac and her band were perfect for such a mixed age group and we all had fun trying out line dancing, we would like to thank Sound With Us for making our day so fun and a day our guests are still talking about!"

"When my mum passed away I knew I'd need live Irish music at the church and later at the wake. I came across Kindred Spirit duo on this site . They could not have been more perfect. Elaine on vocals and guitar was excellent and Martin on fiddle was outstanding, too. Their music was acoustic in the church when they played Lord of the Dance. It was exactly what I'd hoped for. At the venue they played a great variety of songs, including traditional and more modern, for example, The Corrs. The guests enjoyed their music and many guests took their details to book them for future events. They definitely made my mum's wake extra special - and memorable. Kindred Spirit Duo are friendly, eminently professional and very talented. In addition, they were very sensitive to the occasion. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Elaine and Martin!"

"Rastrum played for our Burns Night at the University of York last week and it was one of the most successful student events we've had in months! It was the perfect setting for students to relax and have fun with old and new friends. The atmosphere was just buzzing and we've already had requests from students asking to do this again. The band were flexible with our venue change and were generous with the dances. The caller was very clear and warm which made the evening incredibly inclusive, especially as over 100 of our students had no idea what a ceilidh was at the start of the evening! So by popular demand I think we'll be getting a ceilidh booked in again very soon. And last but not least, the band play together perfectly and the tunes they chose were brilliant. "

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were fantastic and really made our event. They got everyone up dancing and dealt with with a large group of people. Somehow they got us all dancing in formation and getting most of the steps correct! This was a fund raising event for us so it was important to have a value for money band and to run an event that people enjoyed and would remember. Blue Jewel certainly achieved this. The feedback from guests was that they had a fantastic time and would attend a similar event next year. The fact several of our guests asked for Blue Jewel's contact details also speaks of how popular they were. Thank you again for helping us run such a successful and enjoyable event."

"We hired Blackbeard's Tea Party for ceilidh at our wedding- the groom has been a fan of them for many years, so we were delighted that they offered ceilidh hires. They were the highlight of the day- everyone was so friendly and it was exactly what we wanted. They were very organised and the tunes worked very well for the ceilidh, even if people were beginners. The caller was great and got everybody involved- in fact two of our guests were so impressed they've booked him for their wedding! The band played several sets with the right amount of breaks in between and we enjoyed their performance of some of their tunes in between. Brilliant atmosphere and so much fun- would 100% recommend!"

"Well what can we say! Blu Band were absolutely fantastic arrived on time with equipment set up ready for the evening. They sang lots of different songs from old to new keeping the ears of our guests entertained ready for more. was absolutely amazing such a talented band would love to have them at another event. The only down side was that the evening seemed to go to fast but as the saying goes time flys when your having fun. Would so love to see them again in the future absolutely fantastic performance what an amazing band."
