"Would highly recommend them" Wraggle taggle were great (9th September 2023* Saturday Ruskin House, 23 Coombe Rd, Croydon CR0 1BD}. The communication from the band leader was fantastic from the very beginning. They arrived on time and were very flexible considering the extreme heat on the day of our wedding. They are fantastic, talented musicians and all our guests were raving about them! Would highly recommend them for your event Eleanor Keane 18th September 2023"

"I shared my retirement party with Alison and agree with all of her positive comments. One friend said "I had a fantastic time and even managed with my two left feet to join in!" It was exactly what I wanted, an evening full of fun with everybody mingling and joining in together. I would highly recommend 'Blue Jewel' if you want a lively and energetic night. Anna (Paignton)"

"We absolutely loved having Black Velvet Band play our wedding ceilidh at Clearwell Castle. My husband is from Scotland so we wanted a traditional Scottish ceilidh feel with some of the classics, and we were not disappointed! We had a good feeling about Black Velvet band from the moment we booked them - and sure enough, Mike and the guys were absolutely fantastic and made our evening party a huge success. The band were great and the instructions on the ceilidh dances were so helpful; even those of our party who may not have normally danced were up there loving life on the dancefloor. The fun and friendly atmosphere they created was just fab and so different from your ‘usual’ evening do. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceilidh and some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would 100% book the band again and recommend them to friends. Thank you for contributing to the best day of both our lives. Love from Hannah and Deryk x"

"Dear Davie and the Band, What with all the goings on since the wedding we have not had a chance to thank you so much for playing at our wedding on 4th June. You really brought the party together and everyone loved the music throughout, Poppy I know did not leave the dance floor for a second. The final Loch Lomond dance was the final dance of all dances and with all the guests joined arm in arm around Poppy and I it felt more like a rugby celebration - a great way for us to finish such a fantastic day and head off, slightly reluctantly, from our wedding. We will certainly recommend you to others and we hope some booking come because of it, we wish you all the best with your band and the future. Best Wishes. "

"Black Velvet Band Irish Duo yet again provided fantastic music at our Christmas party. The duo are so flexible and helpful - this year they played quite a few Scottish reels etc for our Highland Themed Party which was perfect. The vibe was also just right and got lots of people up and dancing. It was a key contribution to the overall atmosphere. Please thank them for me. I highly recommend them! "

"The musicians were fantastic (2nd November 2019 Saturday Fletchers Lea, Ware Priory, High Street, Ware, Hertfordshire SG12 9AL). Turned up when they said they would and were very accommodating. Margaret was great at encouraging the reticent and showing how to do the dances. Everyone had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a ceilidh. "I cannot fault this band in any way! We kept the ceilidh as a surprise for our wedding guests and it went down as well as we had hoped! The caller was excellent and all the guests engaged well and the dances were so fun and energetic. We have had so many compliments since our wedding about that and can't wait to see the professional photos because we know they will show just how much fun we had. The band then continued on for another hour playing covers of popular wedding songs which was also excellent. The band were very quick, efficient and professional, and the booking process, forms and numerous zoom calls made the whole thing very easy and stress-free. We really can't recommend this band enough!!"

"ust wanted to say thank you so much for the music, fun and sheer merriment you provided on Saturday. It was an absolutely cracking party, everyone had a blast and my parents loved every minute! Your music was perfect, you had everyone up singing and got everyone in the party spirit. Everyone has been passing on their thanks and regards, so just wanted to say thank you for making the party such a special and memorable occasion. We’ll all be there in force at The Water Poet in Spitalfield’s London next year on St Patrick’s Day, so we’ll be sure to come and say hello again!
