"We had a ceilidh for a volunteer celebration. Even before the event Lilac was super helpful with suggestions of what timings would work well and how to encourage people to get involved. The band arrived in good time to set up and we’re really friendly. They were flexible on the night without us needing to intervene and got people dancing again after a break for speeches. The band also included those with less mobility and were great and encouraging everyone to get involved. We had the majority of people dancing throughout the event. I would totally recommend."

"Thank you so much for playing at our wedding last month. Everyone had such a great time. The Ceildh was perfect as it got everyone up and dancing, and no-one felt self-conscious. You played a really good mix of songs that suited all abilities and provided great guidance. It was great to end with "Strip the willow" and a 30 second "spin-as-fast-as-you-can". My husband and I danced to as many of the songs as we could, and we were knackered by the end. You really read the room, allowing breaks and continuing with the Ceildh as long as people were dancing (as we had booked the DJ package). We booked you as you had played at my friends wedding in April '17 and we had never had so much fun dancing before. We would fully recommend you to anyone planning an event, especially a wedding. I would also suggest you to anyone who isn't sure what entertainment to have. "

"We booked a band for our 40th wedding anniversary and it was a tremendous evening. Fantastic ceilidh band. Caller was excellent as was the music. So much dancing and fun. I would highly recommend them."

"We had such fun, it was so good to see everyone happy, smiling and engaged with the dancing. The venue staff were much impressed and had been sending videos to their off-duty colleagues because they were so taken with the proceedings. So much better than a disco …."

"Hello Fiddlestix, We are just away on holiday but wanted to thank you, the band and your fabulous caller for getting our daughter’s wedding reception off to such a great start! We knew we had a few guests who would definitely get up and take part, but to have so many joining in the fun and to hear all of the glowing compliments afterwards was great! The cheesy disco afterwards was good fun too, but I think partly that was down to the fact everyone had had such a great laugh with their attempts at barn dancing and were keen to stay on the dance floor! "AMAZING! Thank you so much for making my 40th a party to remember. You created a wonderful atmosphere, one that people just wanted to dance to! So many guests commented on how brilliant the band were, you really made it! Thank you all for being brilliant, you were also lovely and kind and played extra songs, I literally couldn't have wished for a better evening, thank you. Myself and some of my friends are huge country fans so we were in our element and the pop songs in country style meant that even those guests not country fans could love every minute too! Thanks again, my little boy has asked if you will be at the next festival and I really think you should be! Lovely band, lovely people, don't hesitate in booking the talented Haystacks band. "A wonderful band. The caller was great and made everyone feel very comfortable. A wonderful evening for the whole family and friends ranging from 3 year olds to 80 year olds. Everyone could join in. Turned up on time and very polite nice lads. Would highly recommend."
