"A perfect duo for my birthday dinner party. They arrived on time and played gypsy jazz in the marquee whilst we enjoyed the banquet. They really added to the atmosphere of the evening!"

"Amazing night with joyous music from the band from start to finish. Very accommodating for our age span of 8 years to 80 years! Plenty of caller participation to get us all going in fun dances which everyone said made them ache the next day! I heartily recommend them. Very friendly too! "

You guys were on top form and I was seriously impressed with your style and professionalism. " We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."

"We both wanted to extend our thanks for the wonderful music the BVB accordion and fiddle duo performed for us on our wedding day. We both had an amazing time and really felt that Mike and Jase added to the day immeasurably. Stef in particular enjoyed the special attention that was given to her by the duo - the guys played an instrumental version of her favourite song - and we both loved seeing family members singing along to Dutch classics. The interaction with the duo themselves was excellent and certainly helped us feel relaxed in both the run up to and on the day itself."

"We auditioned quite a few musicians online before choosing the Tzigauners We love gypsy jazz especially the original ‘Hot Club’ numbers From the outset Richard was brilliant. He spoke with my husband to ensure the repertoire was to his satisfaction & all other information about payment etc was clear & concise We were kept fully apprised without being bombarded On the actual day they arrived promptly & set up unobtrusively whilst all the other preps were going on around them Then the important bit - the music ? ? They are all brilliant musicians & read the tone of the party perfectly So many positive comments from our guests across all age groups It really added a great vibe to the whole event Great musicians & great attitude. … now that’s a rarity in my experience! So good in fact that my daughter wants to use them again for her upcoming wedding … now there’s a recommendation! Thanks SO much Tzigauners for helping to make it such a memorable day for us ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "

"What a fabulous party we had with everyone entering into the spirit of the ceilidh! The music was great and the caller was exceptionally patient with the disproportionate number of young men at the party. It was a really mixed crowd – plenty of teens and twenties, through to those in their eighties. The dance floor was full throughout the evening and everyone, both young and old joined in, including the determined non dancers. Several people commented on what a lovely time they’d had. I’m very happy to recommend the band."

" Black Velvet Band Irish Duo came to play at the Christmas Party for our CrossFit Gym held in the farmhouse on the site; they were easy and helpful to deal with from the start; everything clear and simple to follow. The performance was perfect for the occasion and Mike and his colleague were easy going and a pleasure to have around. They spent time with a guest who wanted to learn how to play one of the instruments and were great for getting people up and dancing. Thoroughly recommend the Irish Duo! "
