"The Northern Reel Collective played at the evening reception for my wedding on 30/03/2018. They were brilliant, and my guests were singing their praises. Quite a few guests had not ceilidh danced before, but nearly everyone had a go and enjoyed themselves. The well-practised Scottish contingent also enjoyed the music and dancing. My seven-year-old cousins are still talking about the dancing and what fun they had. Even the groom's 90-year-old granny was able to dance one of the slower dances. Michael did the calling on the day, giving clear instructions for people to follow; he was also great to deal with in the booking process. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Thanks, guys!"

"We had a fantastic time with the dance floor full. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The band were excellent and were very accommodating throughout the evening. They were patient and very encouraging in getting people to participate. Thank you very much for making my wife’s 50th birthday celebrations special!"

"What a fabulous night had by all. From the moment we booked the Barnbuskers for our Barn Dance Event at Country Ways they were fantastic. So helpful and well organised. Country Ways had over 100 guests for the Barn Dance and everyone was laughing and smiling. From young to old everyone joined in and had such a lovely evening. We will definitely be recommending the Barnbusker and are already thinking about our next Barn Dance. Thank you so much the Barnbuskers team you made a very memorable evening for all. "This band played at my mother's 70th birthday party. They were excellent. Really accommodating, enthusiastic and friendly. Nearly everyone got up and had a dance, and had great fun (even the self-proclaimed non-dancers). I couldn't recommend them more. "

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were a fantastic addition to our evening wedding celebrations. We had so much fun - from the very young to old, complete novices to experienced dancers, the band catered for us all. Steve led the band with friendliness and humour, giving clear instructions and sharing his knowledge about the dances as we went engaging those that were spectators! We would highly recommend them for anyone thinking about it for their wedding too, and thank them for adding fun and an all-age entertainment to our day!"

"The perfect choice for our annual summer fete (6th September 2025 Saturday Arlington Square, London, N1}. Mick & Co entered into the spirit of the event and kept everyone happy with a great mix of music. They were so popular that numerous people have already demanded that we book them for next year's fete... Many thanks again for providing the music for our Fete. I've heard nothing but compliments about the band. It's a bit early for that, but the Fete is always the first Saturday in September, so you might want to pencil in 5 Sep 2026 for a possible gig. We haven't done all the sums yet, but it looks like this year's affair broke all records when it came to fund-raising – over £5,000 to be shared between three local good causes! I'm sure the good vibe generated by yesterday's music encouraged the crowd to be generous. Please pass on our warmest thanks to Carlene, Caroline and Mick. I look forward to seeing you all again. "I took my Fiancé to a Blackbeard’s tea party gig in York with a view to see if he would like them to play at our wedding. As soon as they started playing, the place was bouncing and our decision was made. When they played at our wedding reception, we were not disappointed; they were so much fun, all our guests had an absolute ball! Be warned, put your dancing shoes on, because you will not stop dancing! They are just too scrummy to miss!"

"We held a Street Party for adults and children and wanted a fun, line dancing event to kick off the celebrations and get everyone in the party mood. I contacted Sound With Us and spoke to Lilac who was friendly and very approachable. She understood what we wanted and found us the perfect solution in Adam. Everyone agreed that he was one of the highlights of the day! He knew instinctively what would get us up and dancing and created a set that was tailor made for the audience. Both dancers and watchers were so impressed by his enthusiasm and abilities. Brilliant, enjoyable entertainment!! We would all strongly recommend Barn With Us and Adam."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Hugo and Sophie’s Wedding – February 2026 Thank you so much for performing at Croydon Hall for our very special Valentine’s Day Wedding. As soon as the guests heard the band start playing the dance floor was full with very keen participants. All the guests had a fantastic time – the Father of the Groom said it was the perfect wedding entertainment. ! We will definitely be inviting you back!"
