Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"Oh, what a night I had to remember on Saturday. (11.9.2021) Sound with Us came to do a Ceilidh for my big birthday bash and provided a disco for afterwards. They were just out of this world and had everybody up dancing or jigging along in their seats. Their sound quality and musicianship were first class and the caller, who had the biggest task keeping everyone in check, did a magnificent job. My guests were in fits of laughter and he was so patient with us and eventually managed to guide most of us through our paces. I’ve had so many messages since, asking where I had hired such a good band from. Sincere thanks to all the band Fran xxxxx"

"Dear Mike, Jason and Terry (in no particular order) Thank you so much for your part in a lovely evening. I realise now what a creative act a barn dance is, requiring co-operation (co-ercion??!) (gently done!!) from all sorts of assorted people. We had a fabulous time, and I shall treasure the looks of thorough enjoyment on each of the dancers’ faces. "

"We booked Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a sixtieth birthday party. Very much a family event, so all ages including children, who particularly enjoyed it, although everyone had a really great time. One of the parents told me that her little one has decided that a ceilidh is the very best kind of birthday party, so the bar was set high for all future birthdays there! A few people knew the dances already, but most didn’t, and our caller guided us through each dance so that everyone could join in the fun! The atmosphere was lovely, and the musicians were impressive, plus really lovely people who were accommodating, helpful and great fun. I would definitely recommend them; they were fantastic, and the whole evening was an absolute joy. The only thing now is to find a good reason to do it all again!"

"They were awesome, they were on time, they made sure the dance floor was big enough, helped sort the running order of the night but most importantly the music, vocals and calling were faultless. The band were exactly what we wanted for my daughter’s wedding and really helped the reception go with a swing. Good music and the caller was great fun and guided us through the dances. Davie, what can I say, you guys are the most amazing team, the whole night was absolutely fantastic, couldn't have asked for anything better. Only problem was I ran out of shoogleness and had to get a breather and realised I was missing more while I was outside, what a bummer!
