"Ben and the Shamrock Experience provided us with music for our wedding day and they proved to be the perfect wedding band. From the moment we booked, we were in contact, meaning we were confident with our wedding music throughout the whole planning process. Ben provided some beautiful music for the church which suited the occasion perfectly. Later in the evening the band provided a ceilidh that all of our wedding guests loved followed by some traditional Irish music which brought the house down (in a good way!) We couldn't recommend the Shamrock Experience enough, they truly made our day - thanks guys!"

"Hi Dermot Thank you so Much for playing at our wedding. It was truly magical and we really loved it. The ceilidh was amazing and everyone joined in and had a fab time so please extend my thanks to the caller who was great at explaining what to do in simple terms.! "We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"

"Thursday night was a blast. Couldn’t have gone any better! On Thursday the 25th of January, the Exeter Caledonian Society hosted a Burns Night Ball accompanied by the Black Velvet Band. The band was brilliant. Their musical prowess, stamina and all round musicianship was a joy to work with - and to listen to - making the night ever better. I am so thankful for what they did. The band is easy to work with, knowledgeable about timings and can cater to any requirements. "

"I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Dave, Mike and Gerry who form BM Ceilidh Band. This is the third event that we have booked them for and once again it was a massive success. They are always reliable and turn up on time. They set up the equipment with no fuss and are very adaptable to any type of event whether it be a Burns Night, a Ceilidh, a Wedding or a Birthday Party. Dave is incredibly patient at giving instructions to those who are novice dancers and even goes out onto the dance floor to help people with the dance steps. They cater for all abilities, young and old! Dave encourages people to get up to dance without being too intrusive and has a good sense of humour which makes people laugh and enjoy the night. Everyone who has been to our events where BM Ceilidh Band have played have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have always been very positive about this band. I would certainly recommend the BM Ceilidh Band for any occasion and will be booking them again in the future."

"We had such good feedback about your performance! Everyone that came had a great time and that's definitely down to the superb music and also the very well-explained and inclusive calling. I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. We'd love it if you'd like to play again as the band was definitely the key to the success of the night."

They kept my guests entertained for the cocktail hour and the whole evening, played our first dance BEAUTIFULLY and kept the night going.
