Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"Thanks again for yesterday – there was such a lovely atmosphere and the music and calling were great. Someone commented on it being ‘advanced barn dancing’ Smile Lots of people said how marvellous you all were. And also I really appreciated Ray’s (or is it Roy – sorry, forgotten) changes to the words to accommodate the range of dancers and couples and reducing the gender specificity – it felt much more accessible to me and there were also comments from others saying how much they appreciated being able to dance as two people and not be concerned about who was who or ‘dancing as’ etc."

"We had Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band come to perform at our wedding last week and they were simply amazing. With a wide range of ages, abilities and attitudes amongst our guests Blue Jewel had everybody up and involved. Simple to understand instructions and catchy music meant that even our most reluctant guests wanted to get involved. The Ceilidh was our favourite part of the wedding, non stop laughing and even an enjoyable workout! Thank you so much for such a fantastic time. Now to think of the next event we can book you for!!"

"I booked The Haystacks Band for my 50th Birthday Party as I wanted live music that would get everyone dancing! Rachel and her band did not disappoint and we had an amazing evening; I cannot recommend them highly enough! They helped create a great atmosphere and were genuinely lovely people to have at the party. I had taken a bit of a risk in booking the band without seeing them perform but I needn't have worried! From the first contact I had with Rachel, through to evening itself, I had every confidence that they were going to be as good as I'd hoped. The Haystacks Band play fun, upbeat music with passion and an unassuming enthusiasm. Everyone at my party has been telling me how much they enjoyed the band and they definitely made it a 50th to remember. Lovely people and fab musicians who were a fabulous find online!"

"Sound with Us were brilliant. Every part of the process from booking the band, sorting playlists and explaining how the night would run was done effortlessly and made me feel confident that they would look after us and put on a good show. The night went seamlessly and they performed beyond expectation. The girls had the best night and everyone loved the line dancing/barn dance. The DJ was great - no one noticed him setting up and the transition from band to DJ was perfect. A lovely team to have on the night. Thank you so much for making it a truly successful memorable party."

"Exactly what we wanted for our wedding! Excellent musicians throughout and great, clear direction/calling to help those of us that were complete beginners and those that were from Germany with limited English! Genuinely impressed with the pace they managed to keep until the very end... Both the band as well as the guests! Very professional and provided great communication from the moment we booked. "I hired The Haystacks to play at my 40th birthday after seeing them perform at a friend's wedding. I would highly recommend them as they play a wide range of popular music from different decades, with the possibility of learning a favourite song to make your occasion extra special. Many popular pop songs work in there soft rock/country style as well as the more obvious classics. For example Lady Gaga Bad Romance I preferred to the pop original. So they are a good choice for a party of all ages covering many music genres."
