"From the moment I stepped into the barn and heard Blue Jewel playing I knew we'd made the best decision. Their music made us and all of our guests smile from start to finish. They got lots of people up dancing and the atmosphere was great. Steve was so reliable through the planning stages, replying to all emails within a few hours. We can't recommend these guys enough!!! "S Sgt Zoe Savage 5th Regiment Royal Artillery Brilliant Country and Western Band - I searched online for a band for our Country and Western themed summer ball, came across Knoxville Highway and listened to some sample videos they had online. They were exactly what I was looking for. On the night they arrived, they really put me at ease. They were friendly and cheerful and took the time to ask what our needs were for the evening.They played a variety of music to suit our event, even did some requests at the end. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and commented on how good the band was! Thank you to you all for making the night a great one. Would definitely recommend again. "

"I just wanted to say such a huge thank you for the amazing performance that you gave. You were so friendly and willing to help in any way that any nervousness about getting up to dance was immediately dismissed. I was extremely apprehensive prior to the night about how the dancing would go down, especially with my two left feet! However my worrying was in vain, what a fantastic night of dancing it was, so inclusive that any and all can get up and get involved, aged 5 or 105. You need no experience or talent, just listen to the brilliant calling, it’s all simple moves but when it comes together with all your friends and family on the night, prepare to be amazed. I can not thank the band enough for making our Wedding such a fantastic night, I have never seen so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves all at once. I can sincerely recommend the Black Velvet Band for any social occasion, your expectations will be exceeded."

"Kip and his Ceilidh band performed at our wedding 30 years ago and proved the perfect choice for getting everyone involved, whatever their age, shape or size! Family and friends talked about the dancing for years after. There was simply nobody else to consider when we returned to Cornwall to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Once again, the dance floor was packed, some with a modicum of timing and coordination. Others with absolutely none. We all had the best time. If you want everyone involved and loads of fun, look no further than the Blue Jewel Ceilidh band. Thanks Kip. "

"I recently organised a surprise 40th birthday barn dance for my wife’s 40th birthday. Kip whom I was in contact with prior to the event was helpful and a breeze to deal with and when it came to the event itself Kip and the band were absolutely amazing! Thank you so much the three of you, you really made it a fun, hilarious and quality evening that we will always remember. So many people who’d never been to a barn dance have since said to me they are converts, and those that already had experience of ceilidhs extolled your virtues too. These things can hinge on the caller and Kip gauged the crowd perfectly - really making sure we all had a fantastic evening. Thank you so much again, would not hesitate to recommend or book again. Please let us know when you play at Plympton Guildhall next, we will definitely be there. Best Greg"

"Wow, what a sound you have! We thoroughly enjoyed having you perform at our wedding last week and all our guests had a great time. So much dancing and fun was had by all, and literally everyone commented on what a wonderful choice we made in inviting you as our guest band. Weddings don't always go to plan and in our case a crucial lead broke on our ipad for the party music, and Kellys Heroes came to the rescue and very kindly donated their lead so we could finish off the party. Such talented lovely people so I very much recommend Kellys Heroes and we are looking forward to seeing you perform at another event in the future!!"
