Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

Your band and your caller Geoff kept everyone fully involved all night long and it was a very enjoyable evening in the knowledge that essential money was raised to help people and their families affected by cancer. £1300 was raised last night after all expenses and we feel that was a decent amount. "Lilac, Remko and the band organised a great evening of line dancing for 80 teenagers. After some initial reluctance they were soon tapping away and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. After a pizza break they then chilled to the sounds of the band. Thank you very much indeed and we will certainly be inviting the Band back."

"Wow Rachel was amazing, i requested 2 songs (one just 2 days before the event) Rachel happily learnt and played my songs and they were brilliant, she came to my house and played beautifully and organised herself very well. I did not need to help with anything. Her songs were great and so was her singing. She was a lovely person and im so pleased i booked her. Thank you"

"Thank you to Rachel and Matt for two great sets. Everyone at the party seemed very impressed and sang/danced. They were just right for what we needed as it was only a small party, so they easily fitted their lights and sound equipment into our small marque. They played a good mix of songs to suit the suggested theme. I would highly recommend them. "
