"Michael This is an email to thank you for playing at the Flodygarry last Saturday. We are just back from a week between Applecross and Shieldaig which was wonderful – and that is why I haven’t emailed sooner. We were really grateful for you all playing on our big day – and letting us know what we needed to do and when with the dancing! The playing brought the whole ceremony to life and several guests said later how impressed they were with the band, the party and how you helped the day. I know it wasn’t the biggest venue you will have ever played – but it was quite something to hear you all in a small bar on the very edge of Skye. I can’t thank you enough and wish you all the very best. We would be very happy to provide a review / reference if you have need of such things on social media etc! Many many thanks!"

"Amazing performance and so easy to book and host. Contact was so easy leading up to the event, and was made so much simpler by them liaising with the reception event location directly to sort out logistics. The Ceilidh itself was incredible and just what my wife and I wanted! Great music and fantastic calling, Jake was so friendly and involved everyone in all the dances, which is just the inclusive atmosphere we wanted. They were also really accommodating when (inevitably) plans ran behind a little bit by the evening and the Ceilidh start needed nudging back 10 mins - which helped us out massively. Thoroughly recommend, had plenty of our guests asking who they were and where we found them!"

"Kelly's Heroes are highly original in their renditions of Celtic, mainly Irish, music and song. They include; a guitarist who can be a rhythm section in his own right, a remarkable native Irish singer who can move from lyrical traditional singing to a declamatory, story telling style plus versatile and virtuoso playing of accordion, fiddle and banjo. There is never a dull moment when this band are on stage while at the same while there is nothing formulaic about their musical treatments. Kelly's Heroes are utterly unique and brilliant."

"Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "

"Well! Where do I start? Whisky & Ginger were just incredible. I cannot thank them enough. Every single song was exactly what the crowd wanted, and they even played some of our requests (sorry there were quite a few!). People are still talking about how good they were a week after our party. We would recommend anybody who is in two minds about booking to do so. Worth every penny. We’ll defo be booking again! Thank you thank you thank you!"

"These guys provided such an awesome ceilidh at our wedding. We had a lot of in experienced and multinational guests and the caller did an incredible job of getting everyone involved and having fun. It was a real highlight of the night for us and we can't recommend these guys enough!"

"Blue Jewel were brilliant for mum’s surprise party - great fun, and Kip the caller was fab too, clear and got everyone up and dancing - everyone of all ages! Many of our guests commented how brilliant the band were. Great communication in the run up to the party too - thank you"

"Hi Davie and the band, Now that the wedding is over and we are back from our honeymoon?, I just wanted to send you a massive thank you for the awesome night of dancing we had last weekend at our wedding at Lands of Loyal Hotel in Alyth. You have got to be the best ceilidh band I have ever heard!! The rocky and fast paced sets were just unreal to dance to and all our Irish guests loved learning how to ceilidh dance. Such an amazing night and we really cannot thank you enough! I have dropped Chloe at Freak music a wee email to say how fantastic you were and asked if she can put the review up on their website. "S Sgt Zoe Savage 5th Regiment Royal Artillery Brilliant Country and Western Band - I searched online for a band for our Country and Western themed summer ball, came across Knoxville Highway and listened to some sample videos they had online. They were exactly what I was looking for. On the night they arrived, they really put me at ease. They were friendly and cheerful and took the time to ask what our needs were for the evening.They played a variety of music to suit our event, even did some requests at the end. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and commented on how good the band was! Thank you to you all for making the night a great one. Would definitely recommend again. "
