"A big thank you to Blue Jewel for helping make my big birthday party so memorable. I have had loads of messages from my friends saying how much they loved the band's music and the dancing. Steve was an excellent lead at calling the dances, making sure I was happy and that the dances were fun and suited beginners as well as those more experienced."

"Hi Gordon, Just a quick note to say thank you again to you and the bands for the hard work at our wedding at Shortflatt Tower, I hope that we did not cause you too much stress with the slightly delayed schedule and the last-minute RSVP song-lists! The bands, both the ceilidh and the party band, sounded great and had people dancing which is all that we wanted. I am sure you will be back at Shortflatt Tower again at some point soon and hope you and the band continue to entertain regularly, we will certainly recommend you to anyone asking! Thank you again! "Although not 5 piece as requested, 4 piece was more than sufficient. (It saved £100 as well). We did dances not done before plus two/ three favourites so really good. The calling was good and as usual patience was required in sorting out the muddles!! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, so a big thank you to the DGB ceilidh band and we would definitely recommend them and have them again."

"We went along to the album launch. It was a fantastic evening. Her songs are catchy and extremely well written with either acoustic guitar or whole band accompaniment. Rachel has a very versatile voice and she can sing a variety of styles. She also does covers and has an enormous number of songs in her sets. Something to suit every age group and occasion, from weddings and birthday parties to restaurants and bars. An exceptional artist! "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet. Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."

"We were so impressed with the band. They were patient with us as we struggled to follow instructions. We had around 30 children. They were adaptable to the situation in front of them. They had everyone up and dancing. Really enjoyed them and yes we'd book them again."

"The band were wonderful at my party. Everyone loved the music and Kip was so patient explaining the steps. They were really flexible and tailored the whole evening to what we wanted. Lip was very reassuring prior to the party answering all my queries. I would highly recommend them and would love the same party every year!"

"My wife and I booked The Mighty Craic full band for our joint 40th birthday party. Josh was a pleasure to deal with in terms of the arrangements etc and when the big night came the band absolutely stormed it for us. I'd been keen to find a band that would have a broad appeal as we would have family and friends of all ages celebrating with us. The band treated us to a perfectly judged mix of popular irish songs and contemporary pop hits done The Mighty Craic's style. If you want a tight, professional, really entertaining irish band for your party then you've found them. Guaranteed to get your guests dancing, smiling and singing along. Top craic! "
