"Thank you Blue Jewel for making our barn dance such an enjoyable and memorable occasion. It was great to see so many happy smiling faces on the dance floor. The caller,Kip, was excellent at engaging with the dancers and gave very clear instructions to follow and they are good musicians. Steve was very helpful when organising the event and quick to respond to any communication. They are a very professional group and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. "I hired the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for a party I was having (for its own sake!). I made initial contact with Kip online since I live in China and was arranging the party for when I would be at home in the summer. Kip was easy to deal with and the booking was arranged with just a few short emails. On the night, Kip and the rest of the band turned up with the same sense of ease and informality. They provided us with a fantastic night of entertainment with Kip giving clear instructions for the dances as caller. I would thoroughly recommend the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for their quality musicianship, their excellent rates and for their warm and friendly service."

"Hi Aly, Just wanted to email to say what an amazing night we had at our wedding ceilidh. Everyone commented on what a fantastic, fun night they had. We knew it would get people up dancing but we couldn't believe how full the dance floor was! From people who had never been to a ceilidh, to our Scottish friends, everyone had the time of their lives! Thank you again, and also thank you for allowing us to use your PA system and lights. This worked perfectly for the disco after the ceilidh! We will definitely recommend you to anyone considering a ceilidh. We wish we could do it all again. Thanks, Steve & Sarah"

" Davie, I just wanted to contact you to say, ‘thank you VERY much, indeed’ to you and your band members for performing last Friday evening at the annual Grange Dyvours Tennis Club ‘Snow Ball’ and making it the tremendous success that it was. I have been to many weddings, ceilidhs and parties over the years and danced to many bands and I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that ‘The Shooglers’ stand head and shoulders above the rest. Who would have thought that weaving in Pink Floyd and Deep Purple tracks in the middle of a Dashing White Sergeant would have worked but it did! You were an absolute pleasure to deal with, before our event; you all drove a considerable distance to arrive, at exactly the time requested, to set up all your equipment then, after our dinner, you returned to put on the most amazing performance. Some of our (non-Scottish) members had never danced some of the dances before but you made sure to talk everyone through what was expected, as a warm up, before the mayhem began. My face was sore laughing, at the end of some of those dances. Just brilliant. Our ‘Snow Ball’ on Friday evening was an astounding success and we have you to thank for that. Absolutely first class. P.s. Also, thanks for taking our booking for our ball, next Christmas. I wanted to get in quick to secure you as I know how much in demand you are! "

"I found Rachel on this website and it was very smooth and easy to communicate with Rachel prior to her arrival to our anniversary party. We had a really great time and Rachel made all the folks very comfortable and the whole evening was brought into different dimension :) Rachel also learned a new song few days before our party so I was really over the moon. "We had a great time ably assisted by the music and calling of the Black Velvet Ceilidh Band. Thank you so much! The band were very adaptable, as we changed the arrangement for the sets on the night, and reassured that they were there to entertain - which they certainly did. They got people up dancing from the first note to the last and many, many guests have commented how much they enjoyed the ceilidh."

"Thank you to the Fiddlestix Band for an awesome evening of entertainment. The band joined us for a big birthday with 100 guests from ages 2 to 80 years. The music was infectious and they really set the tone for an evening of joy and laughter. The caller was great and the music in between sets was lovely (boy that lady has a voice!).
