"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band have been playing at our annual barn dance for the last few years and I can't recommend them highly enough. We are a befriending service providing support and activities for the over 50s to promote social inclusion and independent living. As part of our Active Steps programme which offers weekly dance classes across Plymouth, we organise one-off events including ceilidhs. Blue Jewel always bring out the best in our participants with their great music and friendly, approachable manner - it is the highlight of our year! "

"We were absolutely delighted. The whole thing was 'just right' and exactly what we were hoping for, including the type of dances and the calling. I have been receiving only positive feedback about it all. In fact our members are saying that it's the best Spring Celebration we've ever had. The non-dancers enjoyed it too as they were happy just listening to the music and watching the rest of us prancing about. "Hi Davie and the band, Now that the wedding is over and we are back from our honeymoon?, I just wanted to send you a massive thank you for the awesome night of dancing we had last weekend at our wedding at Lands of Loyal Hotel in Alyth. You have got to be the best ceilidh band I have ever heard!! The rocky and fast-paced sets were just unreal to dance to and all our Irish guests loved learning how to ceilidh dance. Such an amazing night and we really cannot thank you enough! I have dropped Chloe at Freak Music a wee email to say how fantastic you were and asked if she can put the review up on their website. "I've wanted to try live music in our little Country pub for the longest time and Lucy and Jack were so great I'll definitely be having them back again and again. Engaging, entertaining, and had people up dancing all night. Can't recommend enough!"

"Would definitely recommend! We booked the guys for our wedding and from the booking process to the night of the event, Lilac and Ceilidh With Us were so professional, easily contactable, and friendly. On the night the performance (both ceilidh and covers) was brilliant and brought so much energy and joy to our wedding. These guys are great!"

"Booked them for my wedding reception Oct 2017. To be honest, they were really quite rude, especially Mick who led it. They arrived grumpy, ate loads of the food without asking, complained a lot, and one of them went around grabbing our guests to get them to dance. I don't consider myself fussy... but I expected more as a paying customer on my wedding day. Music was good to be fair though."

"We hired Rachel to sing at our daughters engagement party and she was brilliant. After selecting a play list she really did do the songs justice. She also did requests as my daughters like very different tastes in music. One asked for Dreams by The Corrs and the other requested Nothing Else Matters by Metallica and it was beautiful. I must say that we have taken Rachel's card as we are seriously considering hiring her for my daughters wedding in 2018. Communication was good with regards emails and keeping in touch before the event. We arrived a a little late with my daughter and her fiancee and i felt awful but Rachel was very patient and kind about it. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who would like a good quality singer for any event be it a grand wedding/works party or any other event. Thank you Rachel for making our event so special!"

"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? I hope that we will meet again someday, but until then, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With much appreciation and best wishes, Carrie-Ann and David"

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"We've seen the Shamrock Experience twice and loved their music. Don't be deceived by their name. They aren't all about Irish jigs - more folk with a rock twist - think Seth Lakeman - esque..."
