"Kip and his band were absolutely amazing. We had an unusual wedding venue and they made it work so that it was just perfect. I was overwhelmed with all the care and attention that they put into the calls and making sure everyone was included from very young to older guests. Anyone who has a wedding really knows that it flies by for the bride and groom but Kip made sure we were called to dance so we also had the opportunity to enjoy the music. We will be hiring these guys again as they were brilliant and fantastic musicians. You made the day so special, we can't thank you enough. Rachel and Christian x"

"The ladies were all extremely talented, each offering several instruments, needless to say we were very impressed. The music was a good combination of Ceilidh and contemporary, as we have requested, they did not disappoint. Thank you again for a successful evening."

The lady who was the caller was great, really clear with her instructions and commanded everyone so well, thank you v much. It was an amazing wedding day - literally the best day of our lives. "lack Velvet Band Hoedown Trio were so much fun! We booked them for our first Barn Dance and were unsure of how it would work. They fully put our minds at ease as everyone got stuck into the fun! "I would just like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Sat night at my Daughter’s naming ceremony. We all had a great time, and everybody commented on how great the band was. I never laughed or enjoyed a dance so much and would like to have another party, just to have you play again. " Before the event - easy and clear communication. On the day: Punctual, relaxed, set up: professional and without any fuss. The music was great. Kip did the calling and was fantastic, clear, extremely patient, great humour but also not overbearing. Great variety of music and dances - so many smiling faces of all ages. There was nothing that could have been improved. Would highly recommend - and already have!"

"Davie, At last I am getting a minute to thank you and the guys for an excellent evening playing at our Silver Wedding at Meldrum House. The music was fabulous, everything we expected and more! All our guests have been telling us how much they enjoyed the band, even those not energetic enough to dance say that they very much enjoyed listening to you play. We were well and truly shoogled and I know I wasn’t the only one with aching muscles the next day! Great fun, thanks for helping to make our special occasion a huge success, we all had a fantastic time. The only complaint we had was that the party finished too soon!"

"For 13 years I have coordinated highly successful ceilidh dances in Bishopbriggs High School and now the new Bishopbriggs Academy. These Christmas dances are the culmination of 3 weeks of social dance with all year groups and it it a priority of mine that we have live music to create an upbeat atmosphere. I consider it part of my job to ensure these traditional dances are taught in school in a way pupils will enjoy and will perpetuate. This year I secured the services of The Shooglers for our S5/6 dance. The evening was a fantastic success and enjoyed immensely by pupils and staff alike. The band worked a perfect blend of traditional Scottish dance tunes with contemporary music the pupils are familiar with, which heightened their participation in – and positive attitude to – “social dancing”. I have already asked the band to perform at next year’s S5/6 dance in the school. I know it will be a special occasion. I recommend The Shooglers unreservedly to anyone hosting school dances, weddings or any kind of function. "
