Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to Michael and the band for performing at our special Anniversary Ceilidh in Bristol last month. Everyone had so much fun, I'm definitely glad that we found a real Scottish Ceilidh band. The calling was especially good as we had rather a few newbies to Ceilidh's, the gradual increase of pace was just perfect."

"I found Rachel on this website and it was very smooth and easy to communicate with Rachel prior to her arrival to our anniversary party. We had a really great time and Rachel made all the folks very comfortable and the whole evening was brought into different dimension :) Rachel also learned a new song few days before our party so I was really over the moon. "Ceilidh With Us - WOW WOW WOW. Lilac and Remko honestly put on one of the best nights of our lives for our wedding reception. We were both sceptical of a band that said they could play anything (we challenged them to do a ceilidh and rock covers), but we were proved so wrong as they delivered the best live wedding set I've ever heard. The Scottish people at the wedding commenting on how good the ceilidh was (led by Jake the caller), and Lilac and the band were stunning for the rock covers. Everyone dancing from start to finish. I can't put into words how great these guys were from start to finish, so helpful and accommodating and I would recommend these guys to anyone. Awesome, awesome band."

"Boots & Buckles were amazing, I seriously couldn't fault them. Communication was great in the lead up to the event and on the day their performance was outstanding. I received lots of positive feedback from everyone who attended the event about "how great the band was" and I would definitely recommend then for any Country and Western themed events. They managed to get people on their feet dancing and were extremely flexible in terms of timings, etc on the day. Thank you !"

"What can we say?! You guys were fantastic, we had so much fun as did our guests who have not stopped with the compliments since. It was our first ceilidh dance like many of our guests but it mattered not at all, Kip was brilliant at calling the moves and getting everyone up on their feet having a go and managing to get us holding it together which is no mean feat when it comes to rhythmically challenged mates!! And for those of my guests who have been to many a ceilidh dance, they too couldn't praise the band highly enough and all said it was the best they have been to. One very happy bride :-) I'd recommend Blue Jewel to anybody wanting to inject some fun into any party - the perfect ice breaking, crowd pleasing entertainment, everyone can join in and have a blast, no rhythm required!! "

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were brilliant from start to finish, from the moment I contacted them to the moment they left the party. E-mail conatct prior to the party was always timely and informative. Their performance was briiliant - they had everyone up dancing and they were so patient with all the children (and adults) learning the moves. I would most definately hire this band again. I also thought they were a very reasonable cost. Thank you Kip and friends. "

"Sophie and I just wanted to thank you guys so much for keeping everyone entertained during our wedding day back in August, you managed to do exactly what we had wanted and did with such high spirits. Thanks also for being so accommodating to all my little surprises like learning the music so that Samantha could sing the first song, and sorry for not having time to sing Kiss From A Rose.
