"This is the second year running we have used the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for our St Patrick''s party, and they were a huge hit again. We had our biggest turnout for an event, making it a very successful fundraiser. A big part of this was people wanting to join in with the Ceilidh fun again, having experienced the band last year. The music and calling were excellent, and the dances were great fun. It was great to try some new dances too. Our guests were already talking about next year as they left!"

"Thank you Blue Jewel! We had had a fantastic wedding day which culminated in a ceilidh, not everyone's choice of course - until they experience the Blue Jewel phenomenon! You had to be very determined to NOT dance to avoid this. Kip is a brilliant caller - patient and knowledgeable. On the odd occasion when everyone was too tired to dance the band just played on anyway, the music was simply delightful in its own right. We are very lucky to have such a talented band in the west country, I would not hesitate to use these guys again- if you have an event coming up book them before they become world famous and never play locally again! "Sophie and I just wanted to thank you guys so much for keeping everyone entertained during our wedding day back in August, you managed to do exactly what we had wanted and did with such high spirits. Thanks also for being so accommodating to all my little surprises like learning the music so that Samantha could sing the first song, and sorry for not having time to sing Kiss From A Rose. I'm sure you would have nailed that too though. Wishing The Shooglers all the best for the future, I'll always happily recommend you to friends. "

"We had the pleasure of having Danny play at our intimate Ceremony and Wedding Reception this August and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Danny is very accommodating and was wonderful to work with from the start. We were after instrumental improvisation so Danny recorded and sent over some extra samples for us before we even made our booking. We also had a special request for the processional that couldn’t have been easy to transcribe - Danny arranged a version that involved playing both a harp accompaniment and vocal melody on the guitar - and it worked beautifully! Even if you have something a little bit different in mind for your event or wedding then you would be in safe hands with Danny - he is a wonderfully talented and clearly very skilled guitarist. We have had so many of our guests approach us to ask about him since, including those who now want to book him for their upcoming weddings! Danny is also incredibly charming and a really lovely presence to have around - we had a very small, intimate ceremony and his easygoing and friendly nature meant he blended right in. All in all, Danny exceeded our already high expectations. He was a major part of what made the atmosphere of our Ceremony exactly what we had wanted. We would recommend him without hesitation to anyone. Thank you Danny :) "

"Mick and band were excellent. They were very obliging, talented, friendly, flexible and entertaining. The dancing was great, they worked hard to get as many people up to dance as possible and it work. It was a great night."

"If you're looking for a sign to book these guys, this is is!!! Lilac, Remko and the band were absolutely fantastic!! We got married in America then had a party back home to celebrate with friends and family. We did an American themed party and Barn With Us exceeded all of our expectations. We also chose the line dancing caller add on, this got people up on the dance floor and was so much fun. My little girl got to sing a little of Jolene with Lilac and absolutely made her year! Thank you guys so, so much for a great day! Fern & Andy xXx"

"Blue Jewel absolutely nailed their two sets for our wedding with their impeccable musicianship, excellent repertoire list, clear calling and easy-going good humour. Half the wedding party was made up of discerning (even after a few glasses) professional musicians, and everyone was completely delighted. They're still talking about it, not least that troika. Cracking first dance too, very easy for the newly-weds. Steve was also really easy to communicate with before the event, which took a lot of stress out of the wedding planning. Worth every penny. Not planning to get married again but hopefully we'll find another occasion to book them again soon! "

"Excellent service from ‘last minute musicians ‘ very friendly and efficient. Expensive service however! Our band ‘Northern Ceilidh’ were excellent too, a superb range of music and dances all ‘called’ clearly and sympathetically particularly with our varied group. I would certainly book them again no hesitations. Thank you all very much."

"I must start by saying that both my sister and I realised we failed to formally thank you and your wonderful band for a perfect night last weekend. We both regret this enormously and I only hope you could see through the night what a perfect contribution your band made to it We have had lovely feedback from guests and the staff at the venue said it was one of the best party's they had ever hosted. There is no doubt that a big reason for this was down to Craigi. The music was great. Everything we had hoped and more. Please pass on my thanks to your excellent band members and of course special thanks to you. It was lovely to have you all there from the start and your playing really added to the happy atmosphere. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart and hope very much that I will get to dance to your music again soon. "

Several people stopped me and Elaine saying WHAT a GREAT GROUP you are. I cannot thank you enough for your brilliant musicianship?? You really did us and your selves proud . I will definitely recommended your company to anyone looking for a top rate Barn Dance or Ceilidh Band.
