"We had an amazing night thanks to Blue Jewel. Our international students had never seen or heard of a ceilidh before, but after a little convincing they joined in with the first dance. By the time it came to the second dance, they all wanted to join in and then danced for hours. The band were so great at explaining what to do, especially to students who are learning English, and making them laugh - plus playing wonderful lively music! "

"For the evening celebrations, we had an INCREDIBLE zaffa. The Baladi Zaffa Band were another highlight of the day with our guests remarking how they’d never heard a zaffa so unique before – even our non-Arabic friends have been saying how much they want to incorporate a zaffa procession into their wedding, all thanks to Guy!"

"Dear Martin and Anna, Joyce and I would like to thank you so very much for the tremendous set you performed for us all on Saturday night; it exceeded all of our expectations! Right from the word go, your professionalism and enthusiasm shone through, with both of you demonstrating superb musicianship combined with the excellent calling skills of Anna who got everyone up on their feet for the whole night! It gave all of us all an amazing evening to remember all our lives and greatly contributed to the success of the wedding as a whole. "The Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were fantastic and really made our event. They got everyone up dancing and dealt with with a large group of people. Somehow they got us all dancing in formation and getting most of the steps correct! This was a fund raising event for us so it was important to have a value for money band and to run an event that people enjoyed and would remember. Blue Jewel certainly achieved this. The feedback from guests was that they had a fantastic time and would attend a similar event next year. The fact several of our guests asked for Blue Jewel's contact details also speaks of how popular they were. Thank you again for helping us run such a successful and enjoyable event."

"Well handled and so well played! Thank you for the excellent music and reels last Friday - we have had several thank you letters already saying how much people enjoyed it and what a hoot it was even though they realised they could not do it at all!! For many it was their first try and I hope not their last. We were just pleased they were happy to give it a go. I was so grateful you had the tact to realise what was required and not be insulted or frustrated by the lack of ability to follow your commands!"

"The Shooglers were real stars at our wedding in Lochgoilhead in October. They performed a perfect mix of ceilidh and rock covers, sometimes in the same dance! It really had everyone up on the dance floor for most of the evening. Afterwards, everyone wanted to know where we'd got them from including the venue coordinator who sees bands every week. Most of all, they have a great sense of humour - they realise it's all about everyone having a great time. Thanks again guys, you were awesome. "
