"They really kept everybody energized! Where do I begin? Function Republic really looked after me from start to finish. So quick to get back to me from my barrage of questions! On the night their performance was absolutely incredible and they really kept everybody energized! Can't thank you guys enough for making my special day that bit more special!"

"Blue Jewel created a wonderful evening for our Golden Wedding party, which was enjoyed by all our family and friends. Everyone joined in the dancing and had such fun trying out new dances to the lovely music played by the band. We especially enjoyed the blessing dance which caused much hilarity and laughter. "This is the second year running we have used the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for our St Patrick''s party, and they were a huge hit again. We had our biggest turnout for an event, making it a very successful fundraiser. A big part of this was people wanting to join in with the Ceilidh fun again, having experienced the band last year. The music and calling were excellent, and the dances were great fun. It was great to try some new dances too. Our guests were already talking about next year as they left!"

"The band was fantastic to work with, very helpful in the run up to the wedding with sending us pre recordings of our first dance song and organising the songs to be played on the night with us. They were also very flexible about having part ceilidh and part covers during the evening which was perfect! Lilac’s voice is incredible! The ceilidh went very well and all the guests enjoyed themselves swinging each other around! Very friendly and professional team - would definitely highly recommend to others!"

"Following many hours of researching for a ceilidh band for our wedding (August 2021), we decided on Blue Jewel. After an evening of brilliant music, lively calling and enthusiastic dancing, we now simply cannot recommend them enough. They are an incredibly friendly group who worked in partnership with us on the day to help create an evening that we will never forget. With a series of different dances (led by clear and directive calling), all creating a sea of smiles and energy, they are an incredibly talented group. And even despite a slight delay in the timings (from our side), they were both patient and understanding. "

"I have seen Danny play numerous times, solo or with his band, and he has always had a terrific response from his audience. He has played twice at shows I have promoted and is professional, charming and engages with his audience wonderfully. His original material is immediately accessible and he puts his own unique stamp on covers without alienating fans of the original, whether it be Springsteen, Petty, Dylan (or even Geldof!). I know nothing about playing guitar but two members of the audience who have played for years sought me out to compliment the remarkably able playing of this young man. Reaction through our Facebook page to his latest appearance included *excellent* *beautiful* *brilliant* - enough said!"

"Just a short note to say that Blackthorn we absolutely excellent !They played brilliantly and really connected well with the audience. All excellent musicians and great performers and were thouroughly enjoyed by all who came. Worth every penny ! I hope they will consider joining us again next year.
