"From the very first note, Murphy's Lore Ceilidh had us all tapping our toes, clapping our hands, and moving our legs with joy – the music filled the barn and the atmosphere was electric. Thank you to the fantastic musicians who gave us not just songs, but memories to treasure. "

"We booked It's No' Reel to play at our wedding by Loch Lomond and couldn't have been happier with our choice of ceilidh band. Tom was very responsive when we first got in touch and gave us helpful advice on the band arrangement and set-up best suited to our venue (where they had played before), how to handle any queries on the day, ways of making the dreaded "first dance" experience as painless as possible etc. All of the admin side was very straightforward and transparent - knowing we could count on our band to show up certainly reduced our stress levels! Needless to say, everything went very smoothly on our wedding day and the band was absolutely brilliant. Most of our wedding guests were non-Scots, so having a caller was particularly useful, and the Game of Thrones theme went down a treat. I'd thoroughly recommend It's No' Reel to anyone else planning a Scottish wedding (or just a ceilidh for the sake of it!) and hope I'll have the chance to hear them play again."

"Wow! What a voice! We booked this band for our wedding reception and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! Lilac's voice and musical talent is outstanding. Throughout the entire process the communication was efficient and helpful, it was really beneficial to meet them online remotely prior to booking too and build up rapport beforehand. I 100% whole heartedly recommend them for any event."

"The band set the tone for an evening where everyone, but everyone, joined in the dancing in our village hall. There was an enormous variety in the types of dances, no fuss about who was meant to be standing on the right or left of their partner and lots of patience when dancers didn't initially get the hang of where to move. And probably best of all they were open to requests for dances outside their normal repertoire. A good night was had by all. Thanks!"

You made my evening very easy taking over the timings and announcements, and yourchoice of music was very popular. "Blue Jewel played our wedding in August 2023 and were absolutely amazing! Steve was really great to communicate with leading up the event and on the day they blew our guests away with a super varied set that had literally everyone on the dancefloor. There were a few ceilidh pros in the party who loved getting to know some new dances and there were also total amateurs who found it very accessible and developed a new love for dancing. I can't recommend them highly enough and will definitely be trying to come up with an excuse to have another ceilidh in the future!"

"I couldn't recommend It's No' Reel ceilidh band highly enough. From the first time I emailed them to see what their availability was for our wedding day, to the week of the wedding, nothing was a problem. They were very quick to reply to emails, and always extremely friendly. When it came to our wedding reception, we could not have asked for a better atmosphere. The music was exactly how we wanted it, ceilidh music and disco tunes alike! They were so energetic throughout their set, and really kept the party going. I found it difficult to dance as much as I wanted to as well as socialise with my guests as I was having so much fun! Thanks again for everything guys, we really appreciate it."

"The Black Velvet Band provided us with a fantastic ceilidh for our wedding reception. They really got everyone up and moving, so much better than a boring DJ set. They were even accommodating to our more inebriated guests and explained the dance moves clearly. We had a wonderful time and would consider them again for future parties."
