"We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"

"After our harpist let us down close to our wedding we turned to Last Minute Musicians for help. They were amazing and we found the most perfect Harpist in Rebecca! They kept us informed every step of the way, were polite and answered any questions we had. Rebecca was also polite and friendly. Cannot fault. 100% recommend"

That view has kindly also been expressed but many of our guests and they have also particularly mentioned us. We had a few people from the music business within our guest groups and they were also genuinely impressed with your performance. "The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band entertained us at our village fete dance and we would highly recommend them. This was the second time we have booked them and they did not disappoint us. They gauged the audience well and made sure both young and old could join in. They coped supremely well with the last minute change of venue due to bad weather also. Communication and booking was easy. Thank you guys! "

"Big thanks to Davie, Stevie and Gordon of The Shooglers for playing at my wedding at Killearn Village Hall. They were great at talking us through the dances as half of our guests had no previous experience of ceilidh dancing. Their rocky twist is done fantastically well and they cleverly link classic rock songs into the traditional ceilidh music. We first saw them play at the ghillie dhu and so I can safely say they are very versatile with the events they play. The guys are very down to earth and easy to sort out the logistics through email. Thanks again guys, we will definitely look out for you if you play any public events again! "

"A wonderful band. The caller was great and made everyone feel very comfortable. A wonderful evening for the whole family and friends ranging from 3 year olds to 80 year olds. Everyone could join in. Turned up on time and very polite nice lads. Would highly recommend."

"We booked Funk With Us for our 30th wedding anniversary and the band completely exceeded our expectations. We were hoping to find a band that would play our favourite hits from when we first met and the band made an effort to include those songs in their set. Our guests especially loved how engaging both singers were, with the odd friend taking the mic and the lead! We are very happy for booking Funk With Us and will definitely recommend them to our friends."
