"Thank you so much for your wonderful playing at our wedding on Saturday. It was the perfect surprise for my bride and guests, who all commented how beautiful you sounded. Verity particularly liked the music from Amelie, and many of my guests were telling me their own personal favorites that you played. It has been a seamless process dealing with you all of the way through and I felt very reassured that you would do a professional job. Once again, thank you for your part in making it a perfect day for us both."

"I just wanted to say such a huge thank you for the amazing performance that you gave. You were so friendly and willing to help in any way that any nervousness about getting up to dance was immediately dismissed. I was extremely apprehensive prior to the night about how the dancing would go down, especially with my two left feet! However my worrying was in vain, what a fantastic night of dancing it was, so inclusive that any and all can get up and get involved, aged 5 or 105. You need no experience or talent, just listen to the brilliant calling, it’s all simple moves but when it comes together with all your friends and family on the night, prepare to be amazed. I can not thank the band enough for making our Wedding such a fantastic night, I have never seen so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves all at once. I can sincerely recommend the Black Velvet Band for any social occasion, your expectations will be exceeded."

" This is the third year we have had the pleasure of Black Velvet Band providing our entertainment for Burns Night. Once again it was an absolutely fantastic night had by all, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the dancing. Great explanations throughout and lots of fun. "Hot Rock Brass Band were simply amazing and really lifted our wedding into party mode when they started playing. They were incredibly flexible and even did their first set outside whilst the tables were being cleared indoors, which led to a rather romantic dance under a setting sun. Once indoors the dance floor instantly filled with people swirling and stomping - it was a tremendous atmosphere."

"The ceilidh went amazingly well! The dance floor was full all evening. I put it down to Eddy and Mike, who played tunes with such an exciting beat that you just couldn’t stay still. The caller was huge fun. I highly recommend the band."

"Black Velvet Band Irish Trio came to play at our relaxed outdoor pre-wedding get together of about 40 people. The three who made up the band were great – very talented musicians – they played all our favourites as well as some wider material. They were very keen to fit in with what we wanted to hear and gauged the mood as to whether to sing ballads or play jigs (after a few drinks people were up for having a bit of a dance). It was such a joy to hear live music again after all these months of covid restrictions. The Band really made the evening and they were really lovely people."

"Oscar and his band were outstanding. So many guests commented on the excellence of the band! The music for our 1920s themed event was played with verve and with true talent and enjoyment. In addition to producing wonderful, toetapping music, the band were superbly responsive and flexible, adapting their set to our timing and to the moods and tempo of the guests. I highly recommend the Misophone Collective for any event!"
