"Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "

"What a superb band for our wedding party - the guys were lovely, really friendly and helpful and got everyone involved and having the time of their lives! A ceilidh is such fun and a great way to ensure *all* your guests are involved in the celebrations - there were smiles on the faces of everyone dancing, and everyone watching! "The grand central trio are a brilliant band to work with. Never late (always early), highly professional, polite and all round a top bunch of guys, as a business owner I couldn’t recommend them more highly. The jazz they play if absolutely brilliant and our guests always love their sets, and we are always fully booked when they come to town. "Oscar and Dom played for our ceremony and drinks reception at our wedding and were absolutely wonderful! It was easy to arrange everything with them, they were always quick to respond to emails and proactive with logistics. They were happy to take our requests for aisle entrance and exit songs. We had inside and outside areas for our drinks reception and they were happy to move between the two half way through the set, we really appreciated the flexibility of this! They play beautifully and it was so lovely hearing the music play across the gardens. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other people, they really enhanced our day!"

"My husband and I wanted to plan a wedding day that combined all our passions and interests, and we were so lucky to find Fann Street Hot Club. For a reasonable price, they kept everyone dancing all afternoon, playing all the gypsy jazz tunes we've loved for years. Our memories of that day will always be so special to us, and we'll always hear the soundtrack of the band playing our favourite music when we look back and remember.
