Review Centre: Gypsy Swing Bands

"We got married at the bandstand on Brighton beach, it was a relatively small affair of 32 guests and the guitar duo of Jason & Piers provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration. The style and level of music was ideal to keep guests listening without being intrusive. Being as we were on the bandstand, without wanting to wait for dinner and the rest, my bride and I wanted to grabbed the opportunity to have our first dance in the beautiful setting, and I must say, it was really, really beautiful (- for us at least, and we're looking forward to seeing the photos reflecting it!). Jason was super easy to deal with on the lead-up, which was a breath of fresh air in comparison to some very stressful interactions with other organisers (flowers, reception venue etc). These guys really helped toward making our day absolutely perfect and we couldn't have been happier to have hired them!"

"The band were an absolute delight, just the right mix of professional musicians and informal enough to mix in with people and jolly them along. They were completely marvellous and everyone had a great time, even though some people had never done ceilidh dancing before and were a little shy."

"The Tzigauners where a fantastic band - because of my disorganisation we booked them last minute and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Everyone commented how much they enjoyed the music and that it really added to the atmosphere on the night. "

"Coco 'n' The Fellas were exceptional, great to work with, a delight to listen to, and professional in their approach. We booked Coco 'n' The Fellas to be our live music at a special lunch time meal. They tailored their delivery to match our event perfectly, providing a delightful musical accompaniment to our meal that was very well received. Musically they were excellent, with an uplifting approach that set the tone for the event. We will definitely be using them again, but hopefully as our main feature. Highly recommended."

"Prophets of Swing were absolutely wonderful. They delivered exactly what we were hoping for and provided a lively and upbeat atmosphere at our wedding breakfast. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio were a fantastic edition to our Burns Night celebrations. From communicating before the event to the actual day, the group were professional and easy to reach. They also went above and beyond what their initial brief by ed by agreeing to toast the haggis – which was met with cheers - and taking suggestions from the crowd for different dances. By the end of the night they felt like part of the ROSL family."
