"Henson's Hot Club were so amazing at our wedding, so elegant and such wonderful music, JUST PERFECT IN EVERY WAY and so lovely to deal with and up for going with the flow, we started the set in the pub garden and then moved it inside which worked great. So many people have said how wonderful it was to have such a lovely gorgeous band. Cant recommend them highly enough. These are the guys to book! "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet.Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."

"Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "

"I run a venue which hosts parties and promotional events for the alcohol and beverages industry. Mozel Tov Cocktails played at our celebration of the end of Prohibition. They did a stomping set well suited the event, and even mixed in some live electro-swing which went down a storm with the clients. We liked them so much we booked them again a few months later for the Glasgow Art School Archetects graduation ball. If you like totally authentic gypsy jazz and swing as well as bit of klezmer this is your band. In a nutshell: fun, dedicated, authentic virtuosic professionals."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – International Student’s Ceilidh – July 2025 This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"

"We loved everything you brought to the wedding. You read the room brilliantly and brought such great vibes. It got everyone dancing from the little kids to the OAPs and everyone in between which is exactly what we wanted. Everyone said what a wild and wonderful wedding it was and we just had the best time. "Most of all, we wanted to let you know that we loved the band and their music...they were just as good as I'd hoped they would be and they were very easy and pleasant company. Those that did hear and experience the music did love it and thought it added a lovely vibe to the party. Thankyou to Last Minute Music also for your excellent customer service and very smart booking procedure through the website. You've been so easy to communicate with, both through the messages via email and the website but also by phone and it's actually been a really stress-free part of organising a party that meant a lot to us. You've been so helpful and friendly, it felt like a breath of fresh air doing business with you. We'd highly recommend you to any friends or family we know who need some music for an event. Would you please let the band know we would also do the same for them. They were great! We wish you continued success with the business which enables live music to survive and thrive ..something we all need in our lives. "

"I wanted to thank you all for your wonderful music on Sunday. It was so full of life and joy and I feel it literally made the party! Having you play in the garden was joyous and it gave everyone such a great feeling of celebration and gave the day a fantastic vibe! (We even got some of them dancing and I loved our birthday circle dance!!!). "
