"To our wonderful musicians! Thank you for the most memorable day on Friday to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The music was perfect - the harp drifted through the garden so wonderfully - and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Thank you for helping to create the perfect party atmosphere, and for both being so delightful to work with. Here's to next time!"
Claire (Golden Wedding Lunch - Isle of Wight with duo partner Sarah-Jane (Soprano))

"This band is suitable for any occasion, the music is fabulous, you cannot help but tap your feet and get up and dance, you feel the passion they put into their playing and it is truly excellent. Young and old will and do enjoy this music, absolutely loved them. "

"Banish Misfortune were an absolutely fabulous band that had our customers dancing around the garden from start to finish during our St Patrick’s Day celebrations. They were a pleasure to work with and we would love to have them back!"

"It was a pleasure to welcome singer Ruby to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. She treated staff, patients and their families to a musical treat in the main hospital atrium singing a range of classics from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. Ruby performed for an hour and attracted people from all over the hospital to come and watch. She has great charisma and her interaction with those who watched was lovely and it was good to see the smiles on people's faces who passed by. If you want a fabulous voice and an amazing presence then Ruby is your lady!"

"What an amazing band! I’ve heard bands which are great at the Scottish ceilidh stuff but not very good at any other styles. I’ve heard bands which are great at pop/rock/country/indie covers but couldn’t play a ceilidh dance to save their lives. You guys are amazing! You can play all the Scottish ceilidh stuff AND make it rocky AND play all these other styles from pop to rock to country to whatever! Amazing! "

"Dermot’s music was one of the highlights of our wedding day. Having moved our wedding from Ireland to the UK due to Covid, we really wanted to capture the emotion and essence of an Irish wedding, and the music and drinks reception were perfect! During our walk down the aisle there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Beforehand Dermot organised zoom rehearsal with my sister in law so she could sing alongside him confidently during the ceremony and I know she was extremely grateful. The impromptu singalong during the drinks reception was a highlight for so many of us (and staff at the venue!). Dermot was professional, courteous, flexible and my only regret was that we had to leave the drinks reception to for the wedding breakfast! We are so grateful to him and could not recommend him enough."

"Dear Aly, We just wanted to send a (belated) thank you for playing at our wedding on 11th August. It was such a fun evening and we were very pleased that we asked your band to play as the ceilidh went as well as we could have hoped for! We hoped you all enjoyed the evening too! We will definitely recommend you if we hear of anyone looking for a ceilidh band. Hope you're all well, Catherine & Will."

"Fabulous band. Mike and the guys were very easy to work with, straightforward and pleasant. I’d have them back in a heartbeat. They really made the evening go with a swing and as a musician myself, I can attest that they are really first rate musicians. "

"Thanks again for performing on Friday evening. Everyone who I spoke to commented on how much your music contributed the wonderful atmosphere and they thoroughly enjoyed listening to you play. It was a hugely successful event, and I will look to book you again for future events."

"We're so glad we chose It's No' Reel as our wedding band! They were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We were drawn into their lovely website by the amazing Game of Thrones cover video. Organising everything via email was so easy, and it was refreshing to get a clear idea of what was involved early on. Not only were they super professional on the day, they were also great fun and really responded to our guests on the dance floor by switching between ceilidh and our favourite dance tunes. Seeing my parents dance to 'House of Pain - Jump Around' was a personal highlight... The non-Scottish guests got the hang of the ceilidh moves in no time thanks to the great caller. Our guests were raving about the band for weeks afterwards. We couldn't recommend them highly enough!"
