"We were lucky enough to have Blue Jewel play for the ceilidh at our wedding reception in Devon in October. Throughout all of our dealings with Steve, he was professional, responsive and friendly which helped to relieve some of the stress of planning the day! On the night the band were fantastic and were able to coax up loads of people to take part, many of whom had never been to a ceilidh in their life. Everyone had a great time; we particularly enjoyed the special wedding dance where everyone danced around us in a circle – people are still mentioning it to us! Thanks so much for everything, you helped make our day."

"Amazing band! if you want a band to guest your guest on the dance floor and not leave it, then book these guys! really flexible and kept in constant communication with me in the lead up to our xmas party. would highly recommend to book!"

You matched the dances perfectly to take into account the extreme heat and the great age range …….. just 4 years old to 84 …… Great calling and encouragement ( in the heat !) Noeleen ….. you are amazing !!! My personal favourite has to be the last dance the coil and processional “wedding dance “ ….. brilliant !!! I've had loads of great feedback from friends and family re the FUN that they all had …. whether it was dancing themselves or watching others’ varying attempts …. What a laugh !!! July 2026"

"Thanks you so much The Shooglers for playing at our wedding in April. I booked you after receiving a recommendation from the bass player of my own band. He was at a function you guys were playing at last year and he raved about you so much i was really glad you were able to play for us. There were guests from Canada, Dublin and New Zealand at our wedding and they were all joining in and everyone had a superb night. I especially enjoyed how you blended in rock and pop tunes with some of the Ceilidh dances. I will definitely recommend you guys to anyone I can and if I organize another bash in the future i'll be looking The Shoogle up! Thanks so much on behalf of my new wife Wendy and myself."

"Dear Davie and all the band, just to say the very biggest of thank you for Saturday night - you were just brilliant, everything and more that we could have wanted from our wedding band, and we have had so many comments and compliments from everyone who was there about you - I have a feeling many of them will remember when organising their future events as you guys just take ceilidh to a whole new level. We had an absolute ball reeling our way round, especially for 'Another Brick in the Dashing White Sergeant', and the Cumberland reel was utterly Epic - not one we had in fact danced before but definitely the best of the night!! And had so much fun with the rock side - all the family were up and going for their favourites. Hope you had fun and managed to squeeze in a bacon roll and some cake - and a beer or two!! "I can't recommend The Northern Reel Collective highly enough! They entertained all the guests at our Christmas wedding with flair, enthusiasm and energy. I had so much fun spinning the evening away and was extremely impressed with the music choice, delivery and relaxed approach. Many happy guests and an on the spot first dance with the bridal party later - I wish I could do it all again!"
